Saw a sign during my road trip and being Danish I knew I needed to stop and check this place out. Best decision. Amazing stop and would love to visit again.

Neat history. Will be nice when they get it rebuilt. They do need to go sweep all the dead flies out of there. But overall very cool place.

Clean. Lots of nice Denmark made mementos for sale. Friendly to strangers? Not so sure.

It was small and different. Very Amish focused. It was clean and quaint though.

It's historic. Windmill blades were missing. Does have a charging station for 2 electric cars. And plenty of parking.

This gift shop and windmill sight on the Great Plains was a real find! What a variety of gift items from Holland!

This was a happy accident if there ever was one. I had not expected to leave the highway, but needed to find somewhere to give the car a rest and stretch my legs. At the very least, it was a nice change from the usual scenery along the interstate. The person staffing the gift shop was very helpful and informative. Thanks for making my trip through Iowa a memorable experience!

We stopped here in the morning, after we broke down our campsite, in order to check out the museum and grab breakfast. Unfortunately, we stopped on Sunday morning and they weren't open yet. We weren't able to check out the museum but were able to walk around the grounds. This is a really neat place to visit if one is interested in history and culture. It provides historical information on Danish cultures and the Vikings of old. We walked around the structures and read all the signs. Fun place to stop we will definitely be coming back next time we drive through here in order to check out the museum.
