Pretty good entrees Don't order the hand cut fries! They thought hand cut fries are potato chips. No lettuce or tomato on any burger. Great atmosphere other than bad music just ok all sround
Second time here, thought I would give it a try again. Terrible service (had to wait about half hour for drinks, had to ask about 3 times for a water, and waiter never brought out our appetizer) and food was overpriced for what you get. I could have made better food at home. Mixed drink was mediocre at best. Never coming again.
Nice atmosphere, friendly service. Have eaten here several times. We always order the French Onion Soup. It is a family favorite and we tend to be very picky about our French Onion Soup. Theirs does not disappoint! Some other menu items we have found hit or miss but that in no way would discourage us from going again.
Took forever to get seated in a half empty resterant. Twenty minutes to order drinks. Screwed up the apitizer order. Let us know that the special was sold out thirty minutes after we ordered. Served me an ice cold raw steak. Horrible. Used to be real good.
The deck is wonderful but $2.99 for a soda with no refills is ridiculous. Now they no longer offer refills on your $2.99 iced tea. My understanding is that the wholesale cost of soda is less than $0.25 per cup. Stop being greedy.
If you are older or hadicaped don't come here. When we arrived with my grandfather that uses a walker had to go down a flight of stairs to get to the restaurant. Then again to leave. We did not eat here. I will never come back even though i just moved to town. You should specifically have it on your website that if you can not make it up and down stairs not to waste your time coming. However you can go right next door to Sonny's and enjoy lunch that is handicap accessible.
Use to be a great place but we just took some friends there and completely embarrassed by the owners rudeness. The food was good but service lacking, as well as any of the old sparkle the place had. Been going there for years but no more. Plenty of other restaurants around with good food, better service and nicer attitudes. What a shame.
Brunch on Sunday place was quiet and we had a table with a nice view of the river. It was brunch and there were a number of brunch specials. I ended up having the French Dip sandwich, on what could well have been fresh baked bread. Great food, attentive service and a view as well. Would definitely recommend!
Nice view of river. Friendly staff. Good sandwiches and appetizers
I had the Maryland Crab Cakes, and they were delightful! Prompt service and tasty drinks too. Henniker is such a lovely NH town.
Went for Valentine's Day and was excited for a date night out. We didn't mind being patient or spending a little extra, but ended up paying over $60 for cold food that took 2 hours to get served. We waited a couple months for this disappointing experience :/ I'd rather eat at St. George's Cafe.
Average restaurant with a good view. Have had some bad experiences in the past. Tried it again tonight after a few years, and the food was decent for the four of us. My meal was a little on the bland side for fish and chips, and was a little over cooked and tough, but still a reasonable offering. We will be coming back.
My wife and I ate at Daniel's a few weeks ago. It was a beautiful Autumn afternoon, and we stopped in for a late lunch before walking around the lovely town of Henniker.
Our server was friendly and helpful. My wife and I ordered a grilled salmon fillet with ginger and sesame seeds. It was delightful! All the food was well-prepared and tasty. The dining room overlooks the river (but with a parking lot in-between) and was clean and (recently?) renovated.
We are only sorry that Daniel's is so far away from where we live, otherwise we would go there more often. As it is, we have gone there quite a few times over the last 10 or 15 years -- always good!
