We had a great dinner with friends at Daddy Jack’s. Clam chowder was delicious and the scallops were wonderful! Our waitress was terrific too!
Food was mediocre. Felt like I could have went to Red Lobster or Papadeaux’s. I was very disappointed in the food especially after reading the reviews. The shrimp was over cooked and the baked potato was dry and over baked. It was my anniversary and I picked the restaurant knowing my husband loved seafood and when we ordered the $22 stuffed shrimp, we both looked at each other. It was inadequately prepared. We had 5 small shrimp and a wrinkled baked potato. The service was good, but food was horrible!
Our waitress is TERRIBLE. I asked for a water 4 times and finally the hostess helped us. The waitress had zero personality and came across with attitude from the moment she approached our table. At $15-20 dollars a plate I would have expected a better server. I only gave 1 star because there was not a lower rating.
Food was horrible, distasteful, and way overpricesed
Had the lobster mac-n-cheese, sauce was curdeled and no taste, and pasta was over cooked. Wife had the tilapia stuffef with crab meat and it came out burnt and disgusting. If i had the option i would choose 0 stars.
Ok I am not to impressed with this restaurant. FOR starters they don't have no draft beer just bottled and maybe canned. There is no soda fountain so all sodas are canned. The food was fair and $$$$. They have specials but don't tell you the price because they are way overpriced and want you to order them. A dish that u would think cost you 40 at most was 70 dollars!! The only thing that was very good was the lobster tail and the veggies other than that it was a waste of time and money.
This place is awesome, always consistent and absolutely delicious!!!! I love it 😍
Average food and service at the typical marked up downtown price
Service was excellent even with it being a prom night and 2 large groups.
Our server was spot on at every turn. If we needed something, it seems she appeared within seconds as if knowing. Couldn't ask for better (wish I remembered her name to give her credit).
Now the food.
Reasonably priced for downtown seafood, so no issues there.
Wife had lobster and scallops and I had a fillet and shrimp.
The lobster and scallops were over cooked, therefore tough and chewy.
The fillet was one of the tougher ones I have ever had.
The service was a solid 5
The food is 3 stars and that may be generous.
I had higher expectations of this place, but this is a 1 and done experience for us.
Food and service were great. Prices were extremely fairnot sure what the person ordered that said different in their review. We looked at 3 different seafood place and this was atleast 30% cheaper on average.
The crab cakes are very well made and the service is Always, top notch. We like to sit on the patio.
This place is wonferful!! Dominick the owner is such a doll. He gave me wonderful recommendations. The Dominick special salad is excellent!! Crab claws are to die for!!!! Seriously. You have to ask for them. They are not on the menu. Stuffed shrimp was bomb dot com. I rarely post reviews on restaurants. But this one was worth the time. Amazing.
Our server was not very good. But the food was great. The lobster tail was huge and the steak was mouth watering good. I will be going back
We did not receive good service from the minute we walked in the door. The restaurant opened for dinner at 5pm. Our party of eight arrived at 5pm. The restaurant was completely empty except for the family of three, in line, in front of us. When our turn came, we told the hostess we had eight people and she asked, "Do you have a reservation?" We told her no, and her response was, "Well, it will be a few minutes then." Why we had to wait, when the restaurant was completely empty on a Sunday night, I don't know, but another employee overheard and made sure we were immediately seated. Once seated, we ordered two bottles of wine: one red and one white. Jessica, our server (the same hostess who told us we had to wait), brought the bottle of white and brought two people each a glass of red wine. When one of them mentioned that she asked for a whole bottle for the table, Jessica's immediate and clipped response was, "No you didn't. You said glass." My friend repeated that she has asked for a bottle, and Jessica continued to argue that my friend had not asked for a bottle. After more confrontational remarks on Jessica's part she finally said "I'll bring the rest of the bottle then." When she did return, she very passive aggressively placed the wine out of my friends reach in the middle of the table and stalked off. Jessica's rude and unacceptable behavior far outshone the grossly overcooked shrimp I and several others were served. Needless to say, we will not be returning.
