Everything has been great, the bed is just too firm for me. Location is a bit difficult to get to. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Place is very clean. I would stay here again and would recommend it

The staff was very kind. They called the room to make sure everything was okay a few minutes after I arrived. They we're also very accommodating in the a.m. I had to be to work right about the time their continental breakfast opened. They allowed me to grab some breakfast early and were very helpful. As an added bonus they have coffee and cookies in the lobby, however I do question tongs as the appropriate utensil for getting the cookies. I would recommend this location to anyone looking to stay in the area.

My boyfriend and I were coming from out of town for a wedding in Holland. We picked this hotel out of several others for a few reasons (location, price, etc.) We arrived at around 11:30am. I knew check-in wouldn't be until later (we thought we'd see if we could get to the room a little earlier) so when the attendant said 3pm that was fine with us. After walking around for a bit, we came back at 2:30pm to see if our room was available. First of all, the front desk girl had ZERO personality - she said she didn't have anything clean at the moment. I then asked, "it'll be ready for 3pm though right?" She followed it up with, "I can't guarantee that." Which makes NO sense as 'check-in' is at 3pm why would there be NO rooms available? She didn't even ask if there was anything she could do for us in the meantime. Thankfully, we were able to check in right at 3pm. Secondly, the room was disgustingly dirty. The linens were dirty, the bathroom mirror hadn't been wiped, their were giant bugs and spiderwebs in the hallways the list goes on and on. All we were there for was to get ready for a wedding and stay over night. I would NEVER recommend this hotel, to ANYONE.

Pretty standard hotel. Breakfast included, free coffee and cookies all day, and a nice little surprise check in package for guests. Would recommend if you are visiting or working in the Holland, MI area.

Excellent place to stay. I had the pleasure of being the one of the first guests when this place opened so many years ago. The quality and service is as good as it was then. I will be back. Highly recommend staying here. :-)

If I could select less than one star I would. We have stayed at several different Country Inn's over the years and have always enjoyed them. However, this Country Inn was AWFUL. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here! They do not have an elevator, hot tub or laundry facilities. Their pool was FREEZING, like the heat had never been turned on. They do not restock their continental breakfast well and leave it messy. The staff was less than helpful and it took us almost 30 minutes to check in. We would never stay there again and will think twice about any Country Inn from this point forward.

Family wedding planned Made reservations well in advanced, but nearly 2 months out, the wedding, for reasons beyond anyone's control, was postponed. Country Inn will not refund the money. Nice Country Inn/Carlson I am sure this time of year is your peak season and you will have no problem putting other guests in that room enjoy my money. Always an enjoyable stay the last four years when visiting our daughter @ Hope College. Only hotel in the area that offers Hope College parent rates. Highly recommended. Clean rooms, friendly staff, quiet location and convenient to Holland area attractions.

Just and average hotel with a few positives and a few more negatives. The breakfast buffet was average but the staff member was amazing! He was like a bee, buzzing around ensuring that everything was stocked. The pool was terrible! Not much bigger than a hotel room and we left with burning eyes and skin for the whole day. Staff could not provide a log for the most recent water quality/balance check. Even the cable was bad! The guide didn't reflect the actual channels and many of the channels were so badly digitized as to be unwatchable. Several other channels, like The Weather Channel, were just completely blank. It is DEFINITELY the hotel for you if you want to bring a large group of 10 year old boys! There were many groups using the hallway as a thunderous playground. In short. If you looking for a quiet place with a nice pool, this isn't it. Be sure to check on what groups are staying here the night your looking to book. NOTE: they will book 5 to a 2 bed room, but they dont have any cots! The 5th person will have to sleep on the floor! Should have spent $20 extra for a night elsewhere.
