The pools were warm and clean. The first being the hottest then the other 5 getting less warm which was nice. Not naturally occurring but it was like being in extra large hot tubs.

This is a wonderful relaxing and peaceful springs. Handicap accessable. The pools are beautiful each a different temperature. The mountain and creek views are amazing. The staff friendly and helpful. Will be looking to stay in a cabin on my next visit.
This area is clean and well kept. Also cig smoker friendly areas which are rare. Thank You for a wonderful visit.response / report this review -

Cottonwood Hot Springs is nestled just west of Buena Vista in the Collegiate Peaks Range. It's a truly relaxing getaway with mountains surrounding the entire venue. I've been 4 times in the past couple of years and have had an amazing time with friends during my day trips. Perfect after an adventurous day of snowboarding on Monarch Mountain, driving through the mountains, or after an expedition climbing up one of the near by 14ers. There are 5 pools, each at their own temperature, one pool closest to the entrance is their cold pool and each varying degrees of warmth. They have rooms to stay overnight, which I haven't experienced yet and will be checking out in the near future.

Thee pools here are manmade but nice. Comfortably fit 10 -12 people so not private but good for relaxing our chatting with new people. Massages are expensive here but the sauna and pools definitely make out a fun spa day experience if you go that route. They have 4 or 5 pools. It was cold and a bit windy the day we went so only 2 pools were wear enough to get in and you definitely weren't going to get hot :)

Some of the pools were very nice, others not so much. And very dirty at that. Saw a few bandaids floating in the big middle one. We had stayed in the hotel part as well where I was charged for having my service dog. And had to move rooms twice. Also service dogs are not supposed to be charged by fees. I was disappointed by that. The older man was very rude about it as well. I did report it as disability is protected under The justice civil rights division. Then I noticed a lady with a huge Great Dane running around. And they were in a nice room but never got told to pay or switch rooms for their dog. So that was upsetting. $15 for a dog? Come on. The group of people there reminded me of an old swingers group. Also don’t bring your kids. They hate when kids are there. They made that very very obvious. Everything seem to be a burden for the staff. Except for one young lady with long dreads. Other than that everyone seemed to be hating their lives along with the guests.

The hot springs are wonderful. There are fine pools to choose from that range in temperature. The little Creek next to them and mountain breezes are so relaxing. Highly recommended

If you enjoy a "Bohimian" atmosphere this is the place for you.
Enjoyed visit with hot springs. Only drawback was the price for the rooms. Wished the pools were better cared for.response / report this review -

The hot springs are really nice, yes, there was some debris in the water in the morning, but what do you expect from an outdoor location? This isn't a swimming pool so there aren't pumps, filters, etc. The room was nice, pretty basic, but clean and the bed was comfortable. The "continental breakfast" is pretty basic. Was there for a weekend, in the evening the springs were pretty busy but not bad at all during the day. My only complaint is cost - $180/night for a pretty basic room seems spendy.

Five stars for the wonderful water.
No stars for the oblivious front office blaring some cheesy psychedelic rock until the office closes at MIDNIGHT.
If you get room one, you are screwed.
Word of advice. You run a hot springs. The idea is relaxation, not Jerry Garcia's Lost solo from 1976 at 11:30 at night.
This is the front office, folks, not some guest. seriously.
Camp. Somewhere up the canyon. Soak and leave. The water is still great. But the management is clueless.response / report this review -

A very private low-key Hot Springs. Been visiting for like 16 years. Will always go back. Down to earth staff stay at the guest house. They let you stay late if you're being respectful. Easy to do just relax

Cottonwood Hot Springs Inn & Spa is great. Just be aware that it is a ecofriendly Hotel that has some limitations. I went here with my girlfriend in June to soak for a day and go rafting at the near arkansa river. When staying overnight you recieve a two day hot spring pass so we where able to soak on the check-in day too. (btw check in was already available at 2pm). You also get to go soak all night so after getting back late at night we where still able to soak. The pools are set in stone which makes it nice to sit in. We also didn't have a problem finding the right temperatured pool.
The rooms where nice and clean. I really liked that you didn't have a TV. Also they don't have wifi or A/C. Open the windows and get a cool mountain breeze in your room. I enjoyed not having to fall asleep with a constant A/C humming in the background.
A huge plus for me is their ecofriendly approach which includes no A/C. They have thermoal heating in the winter, their bedding is ecofriendly and all their electricity comes from the sun.
Overall we had a great stay and would go back there / recommend it to others any time.response / report this review -

Very nice, the pools aren't a very nice temperature. They go from about 95 and below to 106 and above which is a huge jump with nothing in between. The men's changing area is absolutely terrible. Very nasty and smells like urine. You have to walk through the middle of the changing area to get to the sauna, with only a shower curtain blocking anyone that is changing. It is just a little run down and not very well kept. A nice place to go if you like colder water or super hot springs. My wife got a massage here and said it was nice so there's that.

My first natural hot springs, so I'm no expert, but I enjoyed it. Some of the pools had a lot of little flecks floating around in them, but I feel like that's to be expected in a natural pool with no chemicals. The hotter pools were cleaner (clearer). Facility has decent showers, toilets, and changing rooms.
