Despite approaching the employees politely and considerately, and having all necessary paperwork and requirements on hand to allow the BMV to quickly and efficiently process my order, the employees responded to me very poorly, treated my simple renewal of registration as a huge inconvenience, and behaved very rudely towards me. All questions or inquires I made, to help allow me to better understand the simple process I was going through, were responded to as if I were behaving in a threatening or impolite manner. Not only is the behavior on the part of the employees unprofessional, but also a massive inconvenience to any upstanding citizen of Indiana that has to make a trip to the BMV, trying to abide by Indiana state law.
Too difficult to get anything accomplished with this place.
I pay the BMV online, have confirmation number in hand ect. I think all is well, weeks go by and no registration Then I get a letter saying that The payment didn't go through and I owe them even more money and If I don't pay it they will suspend basically everything. (I'm trying to become a Police Officer so I can't have this happen) So I go to pay it at the BMV IN Corydon as it says in the letter I can. Turns out you can't pay the BMV at the BMV you have to call some guy in Georgia and send him a money order so he can send it to the BMV Back in Indiana Inside the BMV here in Corydon the associates try to help me, however the manager very smugly handed me a piece of paper and told me they couldn't help me. Today I checked online and now I owe them 66 more dollars. No one is in charge, no one knows whats going on, no one knows how to fix any thing. You have to pay them because, they don't know But you have to But they don't know how you do that This whole organization is terrible and broken, this is how clerks get buckets of dimes poured on them. I sure hope I don't have my career ruined because of this stupid system
I try to give everyone a few chances in customer service. I went into this place and every person there just had this attitude like they are mad you’re there. I tried smiling, making small jokes and then just answering questions while being polite. Still treated like I’m an inconvenience and they’d rather me leave. Horrendous way to be treated when all you want is to renew a plate.. I only took barely any time, like 10 mins. So I know I wasn’t an inconvenience. Also I had something faxed there and I let the woman know this. She then stated I can’t look at faxes. How am I supposed to know this, I only wanted to let her know. Thanks.
If you're looking for a great experience to make you want to punch a puppy, this is it.
Always wasting my time with this place. Went in to get plates from a vehicle that I purchased. They were unable to process because a date was missing from a piece of paper. I understand and would get that fixed from the dealer. I explained that I was traveling out of the state and only had one day left on my temp plate. I asked them to review everything else so that my wife could walk in tomorrow (with the missing date) and get it done. Two people checked everything and they assured us that was all that was missing. We get a copy of missing item from the dealer and she returns the next day. Guess what?? Something else is missing or wrong. Now I'm 2 states away and my temp plate expires today. This was their mistake and they could care less. I should have went to New Albany. I've always had good service there!
The staff are average for a government facility, however it is ridiculously inconvenient to visit this location due to the extremely restrictive hours of operation, I find myself going to the New Albany branch.
terrible EXPERIENCE ! : ( every Time i GO THERE.
Phone is always busy. When I did go the manager was very rude.
Most of the staff here are so friendly that it's just not a bother to come here at all. Quick electric check in. Quick service. One staff member, visiting help from Clark county last week, was such a joy and a help with my 16 year old daughter, getting her initial permit, that I would love to see her there again, just to thank her for such a great experience.
The new phone system does not allow you to actually speak to anyone at the local branch. I was given every option in the world, push 1 for this and 2 for that. But no option to speak to human being. Their local number is now routed to a statewide system. Very poor decision. Serve the PUBLIC, not some phone vendor who sold you on this idea.
