Ordered the Diablo Verde and it was outstanding! They even made it Blue Rare for me. One of my favorite places in a quiet little town. I am definitely coming back.

I enjoyed the fried brussel sprouts and 🍆 eggplant Parmesan. As usual, it was delicious and the service great. It nice to have a great hometown restaurant to call our own. Great job corner Kitchen

I was so excited about this place and the drinks and atmosphere we're Instagram worthy. The service was good. But the food wasn't all that great. My husband and I both got the grilled chicken wrap and the chicken tasted like it was charred on a dirty grill. The wrap itself had a fancy grill mark, but that made the wrap taste burnt. I'm not planning in going back in the near future and I'm not sure what we would order the next time we would go. It may have just been the lunch menu.

Oustanding experience both times my husband and I have eaten there. We have driven all the way from Colonial Heights to eat there and we will continue to do so. The food is delicious and the service is good. The bread pudding is thr best I have ever eaten.

This used to be our family's favorite place to go, but they took our favorite options off the menu (Chicken Salad on the croissant and the Club sandwich). Now, everything that's left is either bland or burnt. I've ordered the burger medium-well twice and both times it was more than well-done and pretty burnt. I typically like a slight char on my burgers, but this amount of char is quite excessive. Since the menu change, my wife has gotten the chicken Cesar wrap, but it's pretty bland and the chicken has been burnt and dry.
Other things to note:
-They put garlic in most of their dishes. It seems to be the only seasoning they have.
-They dumped ice cubes in the urinal. Hopefully they washed any splash-back off the ice bucket after taking it in the bathroom and dumping the ice.
-If you sit in the back half of the restaurant, you can hear the chef's personal conversations since there's no separation from the kitchen.
-Be prepared to talk with your lunch/dinner party for 45 minutes before you get your food. (Even with only 1 party of 2 in the restaurant with orders ahead of us, it typically takes an extraordinary amount of time to get our food).response / report this review -

Fantastic restaurant! The food is exceptional. It's not your run-of-the-mill fare. The menu is creative. Restaurant, including the bathrooms, is always spotless. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. The owners are on site. He is the chef and she is everything else!
