  Unexpectedly awesome!!
  We had a blast!
  Loved the tour, we learned so much from our guide. He was young but very well prepared.
  Loved the mines, it was a first for us but it was super fun, we even got to see a bat, a frog, a salamander and a little snake!
  We loved gold pinning and looking for gems, it was very fun! We found some pretty cool stones!
  We went there this past weekend for the last tour at 4pm. It was not crowded at all considering it was the Thanksgiving weekend, maybe because we got there for the last tour. We were a group of 7 and they were so kind to wait for us before closing so we could enjoy the whole experience and take all the pictures and videos we wanted. We really appreciated that! Very polite stuff.

  Me and my husband had an awesome experience here!!
  All the guys that work here are so friendly! We had so much fun and I was not expecting the tour of the mines to be such a cool experience. Definitely a good place for both kids and adults.
  We will definitely be coming back once we have little ones!
  One of the highlights of our trip to Dahlonega :)

  We loved visiting the gold mine! My husband and I are mid-30s and in-laws in their late 60s. The tour was educational and the guide was funny. After the tour, they teach you to pan for gold and you’re able to try for yourself! Our guide helped me with my technique and later helped me look for gems. You’re able to buy a bucket and search for gemstones. We actually found emeralds, rubies, and sapphires! All the staff members were nice and welcoming. I recommend wearing shoes that you can get a little muddy. It was just a little wet down in the mine. Our guide Rusty was great. Miner Mike in the gift shop was great! He can turn your gems into jewelry (and the nicest man.)

  We had the best time here! This was a huge hit for our family on vacation. Everyone young and older enjoyed it. Our guide was so amazing and had the group help with demonstrations. Would definitely recommend to anyone. We also had jewelry made from our stones. Absolutely wonderful. You will not find a better staff than they have.

  I loved it there!
  Miner Rusty was a great tour guide.
  I got lots of cool pictures.
  
  I panned for gold and got more gold than I expected. It’s a very cool little souvenir. I also decided to pan for precious stones and was very happy with what I found as well. I found a couple rubies and then I paid to have miner Mike turn a very large garnet stone into a pendant as a gift for my mother. He is the real deal.
  
  Everyone is super friendly there and it’s a great time.
  
  I will definitely be back to pan for more gold and stones. Maybe I’ll strike it rich!
