There is so much to see. The staff is really cool and helpful. They know a lot about comics and are great to talk to. The selection of comics is extensive as well.

I'm a bit of an amateur when it comes to comics and pop culture, but they welcomed me with open arms. The staff were very helpful and enthusiastic about helping me in my quest to find some awesome loot for my girlfriend! Awesome place with what seemed like an endless selection. Might even go buy myself a comic now!!

Comic Carnival is not just a store., it's almost communal. I've been buying their comics for 30 years and I have built a pretty decent collection. The staff is fun and I enjoy seeing Rick still there after all these years. The back issue inventory is un matched. You can find just about everything you want want. Back issues worth less than $10 are on the floor, and the primo silver age collectible issues are behind the counter. It is a special place.

Pros: Huge selection of backstock and graphic novels. Love interacting with the young guy, he always seems happy and excited by his job, super knowledgeable and is great at suggesting titles you might be interested in. You really get the personal, small-town comic store feel here. They also have a huge selection of Munchkin, which is fantastic.

Cons: I really dislike dealing with the older lady. I always feel like a huge inconvenience to her, no matter how polite I try to be. Recent backstock (aka like 5 issues ago) is always marked up. A 6mo $2.99 issue is $4.50 here and is $1 at Downtown. Don't understand that.

Aesthetically it's one of the best comic shops you will see.

Like back issues? They have TONS
Like friendly and educated staff? They have the best.
Love new issues? They have 3 walls full of them (and probably more)

Without a doubt a 5 star shop. I would even consider this a tourist attraction if you're a comic enthusiast.

I have a pull list & subscription for comic books. The staff always calls me to tell me ahead of time when I have a book waiting for me. Every employee is always ready to help me locate a book I need. What more can I say, it's definitely MY friendly neighborhood comic shop!
