I did not enjoy my stay here. We stayed just one night after a full day at Carowinds. We checked in pretty late, and the hotel was at full capacity. While we were walking to our room, there was a man from the hotel in the hallway. He asked what room we were looking for, and when we told him, he kind of mumbled something about that room being out of order. I didn't pay any attention to it - I clearly was checked into that room. I think I know why he thought that - the AC was very loud and after waiting awhile, it never got any cooler in there. I think we got stuck with someones defective room by checking in late. The bathroom tub was also clogged with hair. I needed to clean it out, so the water didn't back up. How housekeeping cleaned the tub without noticing, I don't know!? I chose this hotel because of it's proximity to Carowinds. It turns out, it wasn't really any more convenient than the other hotels in the area. I'll choose another next time.

We had a good stay and the staff members were all friendly and always spoke. Especially enjoyed Martin at front desk very helpful and Cassie was extra special at breakfast time. Another member helped with our TV and they all couldn't do enough for our family

This is your basic no-frills hotel directly adjacent to Carowinds & an easy place to find right off of the interstate. Perfectly adequate since you're only going to sleep here after all-day park visits. Our room overlooked a nice pool, beds were comfortable. My experience has been that it's clean, quiet, and staff are very personable. You can't beat the location if you intend to go to Carowinds. We had no negative issues at all, but we weren't expecting anything fancy. I didn't get to try their complimentary breakfast but other reviewers have been positive, especially since it's more than just continental breakfast with pastries and juice.

This location is very convenient right beside Carowinds Theme Park and directly off of Interstate 77 on the border of NC/SC. The staff is very nice and rooms are clean with updated amenities. The best part of the stay is the hot breakfast! They had eggs, bacon, biscuits, potatoes, waffles the whole 9 yards. I'd definitely stay here again!

I have stayed here during the week for the last 3 months after bouncing from hotel to hotel wherever Hotwire would take me. This place is great. The rooms are well kept by the housekeeping staff. The front counter staff are always helpful and professional. The breakfast was always tasted fresh and warm. Even during the most recent snowstorm that shut the Charlotte area down, the men and women who worked here never let up on their great attitudes and level of service. I have stayed in many hotels in this area and out of all of them this is the only one I would recommend.

Located off of 77 right at the main entrance to Carowinds. Right over the NC/SC state line in SC. Good main entrance. Big hotel with a ton of rooms. Accommodations were excellent. Pool was A+ and the beds were comfortable. The toilet was the only problem since it flushed slowly but we let the front desk know. Plenty of food nearby. Wendy's, Cracker Barrel, BK, McDs. Tons of convenience stores within walking distance. Parking gets a little tight during events at the hotel (we stayed multiple nights). Carowinds is within walking distance as well.

Very convenient location right near Carowinds. When we exited the park we were only about 2-3 minutes away. As for the hotel itself, it was alright. The main things I didn't like was that the bathrooms had no ventilation, and some things needed attention, such as patches of mud missing on the ceiling and the shower rod being held up by some tape. Breakfast was bland, but hey, it's free. Overall it's not bad, and if I were in the area again I would consider staying here again.

My family and I evacuated to this hotel during Hurricane Irma. The hotel was very accommodating during this stressful time for us. Upon arrival, the staff assisted in early check-in and upgrading our room reservation.

The hotel did a wonderful job keeping the breakfast stocked, even during a very popular stay.

Our Suite appeared to be recently upgraded with new furniture and bathroom fixtures. This was a very pleasant stay.

Check in process was quick and easy. Comfortable quiet room although the room was a bit on the small side. I like that they accept pets and are walking distance to Carowinds amusement park. Both of those reasons are why we chose this hotel in particular. Breakfast in the morning provides a nice variety of options although was very crowded. Also the air conditioning in the breakfast dining area must not have been working as it was extremely hot. When I asked a staff member about the temperature she just agreed with me and said "It's even hotter in the kitchen!" That wasn't very helpful in solving the issue in my opinion. Overall a decent hotel, due to its convenience I'm sure we will stay again.

FRONT DESK WAS REALLY FRIENDLY. CLEANING SERVICE COULD DO BETTER. THEY ONLY MADE OUR BEDS. THEY DID NOT CLEAN THE BATHROOM OR VACUUM THE FLOOR. TRASH WAS ON BOTH FLOORS AND THE USED CUPS IN THE BATHROOM WAS STILL ON THE SINK WHEN WE RETURNED. THE DID NOT REPLACE THE USED ONES SO THAT WE COULD HAVE SOME MORE TO USE. YES I WILL STAY AGAIN AND TELL OTHERS. OVERALL THE STAY WAS GOOD.

Our room was very decent if a bit small, was a handicapped accessible room with large bathroom. Friend's room had broken AC and clogged shower. Breakfast was quite good! Most of the staff was nice and helpful if you engaged them enough. Cable, phone and wifi were all broken the time we stayed but I don't really blame them for that because it seemed like a provider issue.

All but one item was absolutely perfect. The shower curtain would not stay closed even with multiple attempts at closing. The water from shower poured onto the bathroom floor saturating the floor mat and standing in a puddle around the tub.
Everything else from the first view of the site to the last bite of sausage, egg, and bacon biscuit was simply fantastic. The Manger, who graciously greeted us as we were checking out, spoke with my husband and he immediately took note of the issue. This being the reason five stars given- I know the issue will be corrected.
We are so confident of the staff and excellent accommodations of this establishment we have booked two adjoining rooms for our anniversary celebration August 12-13, 2017, and we are bringing our daughter and son-in law to wind down and enjoy the luxuries Comfort Inn offers with us.

A/C wasn't working. Thin walls so I had to listen to a screaming baby. Staff was wonderful. Room was very clean and comfortable. The A/C was working by morning just as I was checking out. I would stay here again. Maybe the management can book families in one area and professionals in a quieter section.

Inexpensive place to stay, nice rooms for the price. Clean rooms and common area. The pool was closed. The staff was fantastic. You could get a nice breakfast, but nothing is made to order. It's buffet style. The lemon water is really good. My husband had to stay here for about 1.5 months while he was working at his new job and while we were looking for a place to move to. This was a great option and would stay there again if I had to.
