We went during the Christmas time for the Christmas lights. The Christmas light were amazing. I never seen so many lights. It was nice to see zoo animals too and there's definitely a lot to do. My biggest complaint was the lack of traffic directing. We were in the parking lot for an hour and a half trying to leave. Same issue coming into the parking lot. Also some exhibits needed some more lighting to see the zoo animals. I think during normal hours and not during Christmas time the zoo would be more enjoyable. Just didn't have the best experience this time.

Very nice zoo, and the memberships are especially well priced compared to other zoos. It's a bit of a stretch for them to put the aquarium in the title, as it's a pretty small aquarium display (the Minnesota Zoo's aquarium is MUCH more impressive, yet doesn't make the title). The aquarium has a touch pool, a couple small tanks, and one large tropical tank. The zoo is nicely laid out into little loops, so it's easy to do a small portion and come back another day without having to recover much ground to reach new animals.

This is a wonderful zoo. They have the best animal collection I have ever seen. It's easy to navigate even on busy days. There is always something going on there. The light show is really neat. If you want your kids to actually like a zoo trip, take them here.

This is the best zoo in Ohio IMO. We purchased our 3rd family membership and love to go often. It is worth the 2 hour drive for us because it is better than the 2 closer zoos (although we enjoy those also). We just went to their Christmas lights show for the second time and it was beautiful and the kids love it. They had so much fun dancing to the great music! They also got to see Santa!

This is a lovely zoo with incredible exhibits and friendly staff. The atmosphere is fun and there is always something interesting happening. I am new to this area, and will definitely be going back many times. I also highly recommend their nighttime Holiday Light show, it was truly spectacular. An absolute must see attraction!

I wish I had come earlier in the year when the hours we're longer. I was there from open to close and didn't see everything! I loved it. The animals all seemed so playful and happy. The food was really expensive but since they went way out of the way to make sure guests have lots of shade and an extremely clean environment I guess that's fine. Staff was super friendly too. I'm definitely going back.

I'm a lifetime Columbus resident so I am biased. But the Columbus Zoo is always adding and updating their grounds. We're members which is the deal of the century. Free entry and parking for every trip. Great play areas, which my kids love more than the animals!! Love the different events during the year: wild lights, boo at the zoo, eggs, paws and claws, etc. Although I don't love that some activities cost extra above and beyond your membership. And a huge majority of the staff are younger adults who appear to hate their job. The volunteers seem very pleasant and fun to talk to but the kids who actually get paid are not.

They recently started serving alcohol, which I'm not keen on. But it doesn't seem to have caused any issues yet. In general this is a great zoo. Come early and plan to stay all day or make two days of it. It's large and there's a lot to see. We can't get through one half of the zoo in one day with two busy kids. Also food is OUTRAGEOUSLY PRICED, in my opinion, so bring snacks. But that seems pretty standard for these types of places.

The Columbus Zoo is one of my favorite places. It's huge. The first time I came back as an adult, my husband and I spent 5 hours walking around the zoo, trying to see everything. We bought a membership and visit 10+ times a year. The animals are adorable and there are usually zookeepers around to answer your questions. I appreciate everything they do for conservation. Some tips for those visiting. Bring your own water bottle as food and drink are expensive. Most of it is actually tasty; I love the black bean burger. The Africa section closes when the weather starts getting cold, but a lot of areas are open year round. They have awesome lights up around Christmas. There are bathrooms and water fountains everywhere, and lots of benches as well. All in all a fantastic place for all ages to spend a few hours.

We love the Columbus Zoo!! There are so many animals, and so many other fun things to do! We went to the Animals On Safari summer camp show that they had the other day and it was really cool to watch and a lot of fun for the kiddos.

I think that the Columbus Zoo may be the only zoo I've ever been to where I don't feel sorry for the animals. The animals have spacious habitats and lots of enrichment activities. The caretakers obviously spend a lot of time making sure that their animals have good lives.

This is a pretty big zoo considering all the animals that they have. I was really impressed with the size and the animals that this zoo has. The habitats were pretty clean which I was really impressed with, and the options they had to interact with animals
However, while the giraffe habitat was humongous the cheetah's habitat seemed kind of small and so did some of the other habitats for different animals like the elephant and rhino
The entrance system should have been thought out better. If you can buy online before you go, DO IT they have mobile app ticketing which saves you the trip through the ticket line but then you still have to wait in line to get your ticket scanned and bag checked. This also is next to the ticket line mind you so it was all kind of confusing and not thought out properly. Overall really enjoyed the experience and I got to feed a giraffe but it just seemed like some of the habitats are kind of tiny for these animals and they don't have very much enrichment to keep them entertained throughout the day.

Activities for every age. Clean environment and friendly employees and volunteers. Several play areas for children. Variety of dining options, Starbucks, bar options, and great souvenir drink options. The animal displays and living environments are clean and beautifully created. Animals may be seen playing, sleeping, or roaming about. Plenty of indoor displays to keep you cool during the summer. Every year there's a new attraction for the rides and many educational programs for children. Definitely worth keeping a gold pass every season.

This place is amazing! It has so many things to see that my family and I didn't even get to see it all. The habitats that the animals stay in a really really good size and have many things for them to do. Overall this place is really nice.

This is the best zoo ever! Although it was early spring & some things were closed because of weather obviously, we had a blast! I brought my OSU student daughter & her friend and we had such a good time. It's so clean and nice. The staff is friendly, prices are good, and the variety of animals are excellent.
I can't say enough good things about the zoo, I'll definitely be back

Totally awesome place!! For the price it is very much with it. Even in the winter season with half the park closed (half off admission as well, only $10) it is beautiful. The staff are so friendly, helpful and courteous, ready to answer any questions you may have or tell you great stories about the animals. From the looks of it, it seems they also take great care of the animals and the park was super clean. One of the best zoos I've been too, and I've been too many, in quite a few other states. I love this place!!
