I blew the motor in my 1992 7.3 while driving to Maine for work. Dean from Collins replaced the motor with a remanned Motorcraft long block. The whole experience was a nightmare. I was lied to a few times about when the truck would be done and when I finally got the truck back, about 2 weeks later and $8000.00 broker, the job was botched Exhaust leak at the manifold, the fuel return line was pulled tight against the manifold and melted through about 100 miles later, Power steering fluid leaked because hose clamps weren't tightened, glow plug relay wasn't grounded so the truck wouldn't start in the morning, today I realized why I've had to put 2 fuel pumps in it since I got the new motor and why it was lacking power/fuel. The metal fuel line that runs from the tank to the fuel pump is smashed between the motor mounts! Yes folks, that's right the f'in fuel line is smashed between the motor mounts. I'm working on a lawsuit to get my labor cost back and I suggest you avoid this place as long as Dean still works there.
