  Ah, the Grove. Prison rats, bums, blue collar folk, and students all in attendence. It is near our house, so we go to our favorite "dive" bar here and there. Witnessed lots of drunken fights, usually minor, lots of hard characters, and bar flies. The service is great though, there are a couple attractive female bartenders that are pros at fending off sloppy idiots, and there are some menu items that are great.
  
  Be prepared to stick up for yourself, and keep your wife close, because she will be hit on repeatedly if she is even half as beautiful as mine. If it's your thing, and you are looking for the last place to get in an honest fist fight in Bellingham, this is it. It is like an 80's time capsule, and is definitely an institution to those who know about it and can handle a rougher crowd.

  The Coconut Grove is a old time bar to go to.you wont be disappointed in the atmosphere there at all.it offers a pleasant atmosphere to wine and dine at.

  You can always catch a game there with all new big flat screen tv's. Pool tables and other fun stuff. Great drinks.

  Large bar with pool tables and such. Lots of TV's for the big games and a nice community feel. The first time I went in I was impressed. Very comfortable, and the people are friendly

  Friendly staff, fairly low key. Prices are pretty good. Less college student vibe than downtown.
