Great spot to explore new music and find some good record deals.
I'd hit Academy Annex and Captured Tracks before this, but a solid record store
"Ben’s perspectives and selection are peerless - he’ll hold a lot of boogie, drum-n-bass, reggae, hip hop records that are all rooted in dance DNA." - Sam Valenti IV, founder - Ghostly International
The best record store I've been to in New York. Fantastic selections of secondhand records in very good condition. I bought a whole lot of disco 12" for extremely fair prices (most for just $3).
A great place to sell your vinyl to
A hidden gem where you'll finally track down that hard-to-find record. Good re-issues section, too, but they excel in used collectibles.
Nice little shop here. Good collection of new house releases from local NYC labels.
A nice, ever evolving selection. Fair prices. On the small side, but open 24 hours on RSD.
A gold mine for reasonably priced, slightly-used and well-loved vinyl.
Don’t skip the international section, which stocks an impressive Latin selection.
Rare & Tough-to-find (proof - http://goo.gl/aO0S9) records + new offerings from trendsetting local indie labels like Captured Tracks, Mexican Summer (http://goo.gl/uNsFC) & RVNG(http://goo.gl/4YuR1)
Nicest staff--ask for recommendations!
an excellent source for limited edition vinyl and cassettes.
