Love waking up early and grabbing a bagel sandwich it’s filling and delicious. The customer service is good and it’s a bit more pricey then Starbucks around the corner but it’s worth it to help a local business that actually produces good service and food! Love it

If you are looking for a great diner this is the place to eat. Friendly service, food was beyond expectation, I had a Monty Christo w strawberry preserves, and a slice of chocolate cream pie. The posted specials were going to make my companion return for breakfast.

We waited for about an hour and needed to sit at the counter. We were not accommodated and it was handled poorly. We love the spit but it was handled poorly. More training needs to be done around disabilities. So sorry this happened to us this am.

We went here for an afternoon meal, after hearing great things about it. We walked up, were seated almost immediately at the bar, and were brought waters. I ordered the root beer float, and when it came, it was delicious! Made perfectly, without too much of either ingredient. When our food came out, it looked amazing, and tasted even better. I had eggs Benedict, while my lovely girlfriend had an omelet. The food was fantastic, the service was friendly, and I'll definitely be returning!

Get there early to get a seat at the counter. Love the old authentic things still in place jukeboxes, shake maker, cash register. Fast service and friendly morning smiles. Food excellent too.

Home cooking and homemade pies. Had biscuits and gravy and it was AMAZING. The hash browns were sliced not shredded, they were NOT dry. They were perfect. Friends had eggs Benedict and chicken fried steak.

Food was goodlike old fashioned diner food. Milkshakes are FOR SURE THE BOMB! Also really cool that they have working jute boxes at each table. Only negative was the seating. I understand that we got there at 10:30am on a Sunday, however when we were told that it would be a 30 min wait and instead it was over an hour and a half it was pretty ridiculous. The hostess did not go down the list properly. Several groups of people left as they were tired of waiting. The only reason we ever got seated was because I asked twice. We were standing right next to the door where they were calling from and never heard our name once, however when I asked the first time our name was no where to be found, had been crossed out instead of a different party. Then 9 people left from the bar area, we were a group of 4but again skipped over for a couple of groups if 2 and 3 that arrived WAY later than we did. Only reason we waited that long was because it was the one place one of the people in our group wanted to go to, otherwise we would've left. The booths are EXTREMELY small and there are no fans or A.C. so being in there mid-day in July wasn't very fun. Overall the food made up for the beginning service - would definitely try the place again but would do a few things differently.

I'm on an 11 day roadtrip from Washington state. Stopped in here for lunch and was absolutely blown away. I had the bacon and tomato grilled cheese, which was beyond amazing. Previously on my trip, we ate 3 different meals at 5 star hotels in Vegas, all of which were the worst quality I've ever experienced. It was so refreshing to finally have a meal that was truly heartfelt and cooked properly with care. The environment here is awesome. Service is very quick and precise. Spoke to the head chef Leo in person and he was an absolutely sweetheart. He takes his job seriously and his food really is to die for. Their milk shakes are classic and rich with flavor. This is a place I won't forget as I continue on my travels! It's truly a perfect, cozy, and absolute classic place to rest your feet and fill your belly ❤ We couldn't help but stop back in for a couple milkshakes to take on the road!

This is a great diner right in the heart of the shopping district along Orange Ave. On weekends in the busy season there is often a short wait for a table or counter service. There are a lot of great breakfast and lunch options on the menu and the food was great.

My family ate here 3 times on a 4 day trip and it was absolutely amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and talked to everyone. It has a very nice atmosphere. You cannot order a bad meal here(especially the milkshakes). I would suggest going around 9 at closing time because it is not busy and everyone's treating u even nicer because they close at 10.

The name kind of threw me the first time I walked into this nice little diner on Coronado Island. It has a real greasy spoon diner feel. Like most diners, I like to come here for breakfast. Basics are all done extremely well. Food is delicious and the staff is always very friendly. They do make excellent, heavier, sandwiches.

Best coffee I've had in a long time, it brought back memories from when I was younger. Good service, coffee cup was always full. I had a BLT with an egg, simple and good. We also grabbed a milkshake 2 hot white cocoa and chocolate cream pies, which were all delicious! It's a great place for a desert or a cup of coffee.

This place is a fantastic throwback to an old fashioned coffee shop. The wait can be quite long during peak hours, but it is totally with the wait! The menu is extensive and the food is fresh. The staff are very friendly and have aprons and other attire from the 50's that are great. If you want a reasonably priced meal, friendly staff and fresh food with a fun atmosphere than go no further than Clayton's!
