We are annual attendees of the Yankee peddler festival. Buy your tickets ahead of time and save yourself waiting in line. If crafts and history is your thing than you will love it. Lot of walking. Hilly with very few paved walkways. It's like taking a nature hike with booths every few feet. There is a food area with every thing including breakfast. Live music and beer garden. Face painting and butterfly encounter for the kids. Motorcycle parking can be an adventure. Ask at gate but don't be surprised when you get the run around. Ended parking down on the stage area.

So much bang for the buck! Extremely knowledgeable and courteous staff. Swimming, camping, and plenty other activities. As a family of five, on a shoestring budgetwe always leave with great memories.

Wowwhat fun! We enjoyed our stay here. Just to be sure everyone is aware, primitive means you stay in a big field surrounded by anyone who wants to camp near you, and I mean right next to you if they want.

Good campground with a man-made lake with a bunch of attractions in the water for you to play on. Affordable beer/snacks in the beach clubhouse. Would've gotten an additional star if they hadn't removed the fire rings from the primitive sites.

Was there for Yankee Peddler. Plenty of parking and ticket was only $10. A lot of crafts. If you're into that. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon.

Plenty of camping amenities, activities all of which are family and kid friendly. We've been here for several months and haven't had any issue with our sewer being pumped twice a week(other than the door to my valves being left open). Our spot wasn't perfect but it was the best they could do in the time they had which was fine because we needed something convenient for our job sites. The only issue with our site was the elevation of our spot for our camper was about a foot lower than the rest of the site which didn't have but a few feet patch of grass. I've fallen once on this two tone elevation and it's about the least kid friendly obstacle. Otherwise our summer has been much more ergonomic considering work was 20 minutes away, grocery store is 10 and babysitter was also 20.

Seems like a nice place. Kids had fun swimming. We went for A company picnic. It wasn't overly packed when we went so that was nice. The pavilion we were in was nice. The Bathroom closest to the pavilion back in the back we were in was kinda gross but there was over 300 people using it for the picnic so I get it (the people there were Being gross) The changing room was nice. By the water. I like they offer life jackets & most areas you have to have one any way however life jackets are 1st come first serve. There were a lot of kids un supervised being bad in the boating area (parents fault) not the parks fault. They had golf cart rentals.

Just got back from your resort today. This my second trip up there for the Warrior Dash event. I think you have a wonderful facility and I'm looking at returning within a month. Keep up the good work, its a great place!

Visited the campground this past weekend. A couple of positives first. The reservation manager and check in employees were very accommodating. Also the park itself was very clean with exceptional shower/ bathhouse. Unfortunately, the negatives far outweigh the clean showers and nice employees. First off, the swimming lakes literally had a sewage smell along it's edge. There was also thick sludge at the shoreline that you had to pass through before entering the water. Pretty gross. We also had a gentleman come up to us and ask if we had any liquor in our cooler. We said no and he continued on asking others as well, even having them open their coolers. That's all fine and dandy, but then we saw him actually open several coolers that were sitting unattended. Maybe not illegal but obviously very intrusive and just plain shady. Finally, the worst part of our stay (we were in a tent). They rent out these loud, God awful, gas powered golf carts that run around the campground well past the so called 11 o'clock quiet hour cut off. We were right along the road with children and it was a nightmare. Many drivers just openly drinking as well, and many very young people driving. Lastly, there is a bar in the campground that we happened to be near, and we had a couple of large groups of drunken 20 something's come by our site spewing profanities and making unwarranted comments towards is. Completely ridiculous really. Really a shame. Could be a great family place but we will never go back.

Rich and Adam the "security" were far from helpful and caring about our security. Just cared about ruining our weekend. Rudest and most unprofessional staff I've ever seen. Would never recommend clays park to anyone

Great place to take the kids on a hot summer day. Their man made lake is great for swimming and has all kinds of water fun. They also have biking trails and camping.

Three stars because the 'restaurant' is really a dive bar, not kid friendly, and the indoor pool was closed because it was raining? I guess that's my fault for assuming the indoor pool would be the alternative to the beach during inclement weather.

The campground itself is really nice, the shower houses are clean, and i saw the cleaning crew on a daily basis. The trash is picked up promptly in the morning. For as much as it rained this past weekend, there was hardly any mud. Everything in the general store was decently priced.

Lifeguard's at the beach are brats to the children and adults. Watching them interact with the crowd as they were fitted for their life vests was uncomfortable, those girls have real attitudes.

But, the older woman working the front entrance was sweet as can be, she's the type of person you want to be the first face you see as you enter the park!

The family an I absolutely LOVE camping here! We have gone to the Reggae Festival the last 3 years in a row! It's super kid friendly and the water area is AMAZING!! The waters clean for being a pond and the staff has always been super friendly. The fact the not only the kids have to wear life jackets but the adults do to. Our group for the festival has grown every year and will probably continue to grow! The grounds are also well kept! We start counting down the weeks and days for the Reggae Festival every year and plan to be visiting Clays Park every year for years to come!
