We only paid $65/night so we knew it wasn't going to be anything fancy. The room itself was okay and we didn't spend that much time in it. The 15-20 minute walk to Disney became a hassle when we were exhausted so we paid the $5/person each day for a bus pass. The rooms don't even have a microwave which is a problem when you want to save money on food or reheat your leftovers. The food that we tried in the restaurant was disgusting and inedible. They microwave everything. The staff was friendly though and didn't charge us. I cant say for sure it was the room because we didn't actually see any bedbugs but my husband has a row of red welted bites on his forehead from our 4th night there. Despite the few issues it was decent enough and really not that important as our overall trip was great regardless of the room.

Although the decor is tired and dated that is not what earns this hotel two stars; it is the lack of hot water at 4:40am and being told there is no one at the hotel/in maintenance to address the issue until 8am.

Spacious room with 2xdouble beds and a fridge. Great location for Disney. We even enjoyed a trip from the hotel to Hollywood and Beverley Hills for. $69. Hotel has a pool and a onsite breakfast for $13 staff friendly and managed to arrange a late checkout at 3pm for just $25 overall can’t complain

Watch out for non-refundable bookings. The staff is unwilling to make a change to a booking, even when it was to change dates and potentially upgrade the room type we're staying in. Not much you can do about it either, they've basically got you over a barrel.

Was supposed to get a “newly renovated suite” as per the Charity event fundraiser that I “won”. If 417 was a newly renovated suite than I have parts of the Brooklyn Bridge to sell you.

The hotel was not great but you get what you pay for. I used Hotwire and got a deal on my room. I switched room 3 times until i accepted a suite which was a little better than the first two rooms. The rooms are very dated and the bathroom is tiny and the decor is from the 80’s. The Palm restaurant was not worth the money but you live and learn. If you are ok with an Average dated room then this is the place for you. 😬😬

We arrived at the hotel very early before check in and were able to stow out bags until our room was ready. Went back to the hotel at 3:30 and the guy said our room was not ready and guaranteed check in was at 4. Waited until 4 and was told we would be "upgraded". The bed was very comfortable and room was nice. However the bathroom was horrible. There was long black hair all over the bathroom floor and no tub. When showering water would get all over the bathroom floor. We asked the front desk 3 separate times for someone to come sweep the hair off the floor and no one ever did. Finally our 3rd day there some of the hair was swept up.

Value for money. I've read some of the other reviews and don't really agree. Yes, they charge for parking - as do many of the other hotels in this area. Same goes for breakfast. They charge for it.
Then again rooms are decent and you get your money's worth. Pool is nothing fancy - but then again - it's not that sort of hotel.
You can however walk to Disney and see the fireworks from the windows. That's what really counts in this area.
If you want higher standards, I can recommend Marriott next door. But higher standards cost :)response / report this review -

Well, I've a week ahead of me here, but if my first night is anything to go by it will be the last. Charge for the use of the safe, no key in safe when we get to room. It's like a million degrees in Cali at the minute so we need to have the AC on at night and it sounds like a diesel truck. The folk upstairs had a bath at 12.30 am and their bath water poured into my bath through a service hatch. The beside lamp doesn't work and the bathroom light is on all the time, seriously I can't find a switch to switch it off, only one to put a second light on.

I would not recommend this hotel, roach problem is still not fixed and we had to wait an hour to get our rooms when we arrived at the front desk to check in. However if you are not checked out by 11am, you are charged. We were there for Disney’s Halloween party 2017. The only good thing was the 28 dollar reduction for the roaches.

We stayed here in the summer of 2014 in the King (corner) Suite. It was a very spacious, clean room and it overlooked the park. I noticed some people complaining about paying for the in-room safe, breakfast and even for the parking, but this is noted on their website so it should be no surprise. If this is a concern I would advise finding somewhere else to stay. Keep in mind, this seems to be standard most hotels in the area anyways. Their hotel parking is cheaper than the Mickey & Friends parking structure. We like the easy access to Disneyland and DCA from the hotel. The hotel is right next to one of the Disneyland parking area's, where the buses run a constant pick up and drop off route all day for FREE. They will even accommodate ECV and wheelchairs on their buses, if needed. Overall, for what you get, you will pay a lot less to stay here than what you will pay at the Grand Californian. We enjoyed it soooo much that we decided to book another stay June 2018 at this hotel for 6 nights in the King (corner) Suite. The only thing I could complain about, is the breakfast is below average for having to pay extra for it, but is easily resolved by going down the street to IHOP or Denny's. Either way, you will be paying for breakfast but at least you will have a great breakfast. See ya'll in 2018!

We just stayed 3 nights Wed-Sat at the Clarion. We arrived early and at first was told no rooms were available until 4:00 pm. My husband went back in a few minutes later and sweet talked the gal explained we've been up since 3 am and it was our Anniversary and we were given a room. Room was very spacious. The hotel is run down but over all it was in fair condition. The hot breakfast served was decent. Eggs, bacon, potatoes, pancakes, fresh fruit, cereal etc I can't complain much when it was free with our reservation through GetAWay today. Parking was free as well. However, when we went to leave they wanted to charge us $73 for parking. We went back in and was given a new voucher. We went to Disneyland and purchased the ART bus pass. The bus picks up & drops off right out front. Yes, you could walk but it will be a very long walk. Spend the money and get the bus pass. The hotel did have a bar, small game room and business center to print off boarding passes. For what we spent on the hotel is was worth the money. Staff was great.

The staff here are amazing! We have stayed here twice already within 3 months of each other, and have already booked another trip! It’s conveniently located near Disneyland. Our room is always clean. We call this our home away from home.

We stayed at the Clarion during the week of Labor Day. It was quick and easy to check in, the hallway smells like an old antique shop, but the room itself smelled nice. We were on the 7th floor and the room was updated, clean, no signs of any bugs and had a nice view. The beds are more like full sized, not queens, but super comfortable. Not sure why but we were upgraded for free to a larger room with a sofa bed, which was a pleasant surprise and it had a decent sized fridge for leftover boxes and snacks to take to the park. The water temp in the shower was a mess. Haha! But other than that, the breakfast buffet was great considering it was free. Parking was also free. I didn't have any negative experiences with the staff. Except for the older lady that works at the gift shop at night. She wasn't my favorite. At all. She had attitude for days. 4 days to be exact. Everyone else was really sweet and always smiled and greeted us as we walked to the elevator. And the ART shuttle to Disney runs every 15 minutes. I would for sure stay here again, and I will next year. Lol. Best value for the money.

Room was so so bathroom was very small not enough room both shower and bathroom are together you only have maybe 2-3 inches apart. When we booked the reservation it say free breakfast but it's not it's $13.99 for breakfast buffet. Parking is the worse $14.00 per day. No free shuttle to Disneyland. Also it says queen bed it's more like a full.

Rooms are in need of renovation. The double beds are far too small for 2 guests, the shower volume is rediculous with water going from cool to HOT at times, the A/C unit is loud and the vents are dusty as hell, the elevators are small and relatively slow, pool is large with a 8' deep end, but water is very cloudy The sink drain has a smell, the light in the bathroom has to "warm up" and the timer heat light is inoperable.. Not a horrible stay, but have had much better for the price. It's a bit of a walk from Disney, and the breakfast isn't all that great. Our stay did come with complementary parking tho. We will most likely stay elsewhere next time..

Old and dingy feel, needs a massive makeover, very over priced and food no good, Staff are friendly but being allowed to smoke right at the entrances was terrible to have to walk thru and car park smells from people smoking pot, plus it's a 20 minute walk to Disneyland which by the end of the day is just too far away, better hotels for the same money much closer, I wouldn't stay here again

Had 1 guest listed on original booking. Tried to change to 2 and was told I would have to cancel the booking, not receive a refund for the booking and then rebook. This effectively doubles the cost of my individual booking despite there being no difference in the price of a room for 1 or 2 people.
Talk about an absurd policy. $400 booking will go to an $800 booking just to line their pockets further. NOT HAPPY!response / report this review
