Great food! Their specially is the Al Pastor, but you can't go wrong with any of their options. Indoor seating is limited, so if you're going in the winter, be sure too get there early enough to beat the rush. The outdoor seating is great in the summer time. Also, they usually get your food out pretty quick, but can slow down quite a bit during peak business.

If you enjoy finding the small little hole in the wall spots, this is your place. Very authentic and great tasting food. I have not been disappointed any of the multiple times I have made my way to Chunga's.

I would recommend the the Al Pastor tacos! So good. The chips and guac as well. Very well done and flavorful.

They do have limited seating indoors, but have ample seating outdoors.

The food was great! Te people were extremely kind and Honest.
Everyone is bilingual so you’ll never have a hard time ordering your food.

It was my first time eating there and enjoyed a wonderful meal, but when I got home I relized I didn’t have my tablet. The next day, hoping to find it, I went to ask if they had seen it. Without even asking, they remembered me and brought me my tablet, which they left in a secure place. They were very kind.
Definitely going back!! Thank you very much!!

Amazing authentic Mexican food. This is out on the west side of SLC, but don't let that scare you off, it's clean and professional. Lots of business guys and gals come here for lunch. The food is great and has something for everyone. It's not trendy, it's just good Mexican. Inside is small, so it's better in warmer times so you can spread out with all the outdoor tables. Don't order chips and salsa, to stay orders have it included, which is how it should be. Don't go on Monday, they are closed.

Best Mexican restaurant by far. The food is fantastic. I rarely order enchiladas at any restaurant because they all taste the same. But not here. The enchiladas al pastor are amazing.

You can't go wrong with eating at Chunga's!

This is really a great little place. The food is wonderful, very authentic. I was impressed with the service( though they do get busy) and with the kitchen, everything is made where you can see. Haven't tried the hole menu yet but I will.

I've eaten at Chunga's for almost 5 years now and probably will be for the next 50. I don't know what it is but something about their Al Pastor keeps me coming back. My order of choice is a smothered burrito, either sauce, with Al Pastor. You really can't go wrong here though. I've had the whole menu and it's all delicious.

The food is amazing and the service is awesome. Practically everything they have can be made vegetarian. I have had issues trying to order take out for my department at work, though. The phone isn't answered unless you are extremely lucky.

This is some of the best Mexican food in the area. Known for there El Pastor everything I have tried on the menu is great. One of my favorites. The place is in an old gas station that has been converted to a restaurant, and it can stay quite busy at peak times. Not to be missed if you are in the mood for tacos.

Can't praise this taqueria enough! Without a doubt, one of the best anywhere. Place looks a little funky from the street, but once you go inside, it's top notch. Tacos are authentic, and delicious. These guys know how to make great food. A+

Chunga's Al Pastor is delicious. I've been going to this place for years, and it's just as delicious as ever. The only downside is that their increased popularity means parking is nearly impossible to obtain (it's crazy busy at lunch time).

Great food! Good sized portions, vegetarian options even cactus. Great cheese and sauces! Alpastor burrito great, grilled chicken flavorful too! Highly recommend.

Great food They have some authentic dishes which are difficult to find anywhere else. We tried the huaraches with the spicy chicken. Great atmosphere too.

My friend described Chunga's to me as "the best Mexican food I've ever had". While I'm not quite prepared for that declaration, it was delicious.
The highlights for me - chicken enchiladas. Different from other places I've ever had. When I took the first bite I was like whoa that's different. Then after a second - but really good. The chicken is seasoned well and diced into smaller pieces so you're not cutting through big chunks of chicken like I've had in some restaurants. And the green sauce? Delectable. I was very impressed.
The guacamole was also awesome. We could see them making it fresh there in the back and it was just right.
I had seen many reviews about the tacos al pastor so I made sure to try that as well. Thank you for getting the pineapple on there! However, while good, it's not the best street taco I've ever had.
Overall, hands down I would recommend this place. Well worth the visit!

Solid four stars.

Customer service was best I have experienced in Utah so far.

It is a small place, packed for a Tuesday night. Everyone was friendly with a great vibe.

Chips and salsa were good. Fresh chips and different heat levels on the salsa.

I ordered the burrito with red sauce an el pastor taco. Both had great flavor. I felt the burrito was heavy on the rice vs meat ratio but the flavors were bold, smoky, and packed a lot of heat. I took a bite of my daughter burrito with green sauce and will probably go with that next time.

Overall I like this place. Even if I didn't like the food as much as I did, I would probably return because the service was so great.
