Relatives took us here while touring the Parkway. Our relative got very excited when we rounded the corner and saw her store. He got the famous cinnamon roll, his wife the well known lemon beach pie and when I saw the Carrot Cake, I had to try it, $4 for a huge slice.
We all agreed it is the BEST carrot cake we had had in many years anywhere!
( We even got cold milk). Dense, amazing flavor, actual carrots, nuts, and just the right
Amount to of, not to sweet frosting. 1 piece was gone quickly and we had to buy any other.
We met and talked to Christa herself, who offered to take our picture outside, then we just had to include her in the group. I would go out of my way for this carrot cake a d give it a 9.5/10.
My wife bought a bracelet and 2 holiday decorations also a d there is a tree farm next store.response / report this review -

Stumbled across this deli. Service was great. Food was amazing. Sanitation rating 100% on the wall. Took about an hour to order, eat and pay on a Saturday at lunch so should be faster normally. Full of locals and tourists from the parkway.
Sandwiches, tea and an ice cream cone for two was just under $20.

A very friendly, casual place with delicious food. The homemade chicken salad sandwich on a warm, freshly made yeast roll is fantastic. The ribs are great, too!

Awesome local general store, deli, and BBQ place. Go on Wednesdays, Christa serves baby back ribs and they are delicious, I promise. Sweet tea is so good and their desserts are finger-licking good. True southern atmosphere including their amicable North Carolina hospitality. Make sure you're nice to Christa.

AMAZING!!! I will happily drive an hour from home to enjoy Christa's delicious food. The yeast rolls are incomparable, the pimento cheese is tangy and flavorful, and the baked beans are the best you'll ever eat. And those cinnamon rolls.Heaven!! Everything is homemade with lots of love. Do not miss this amazing place!

This is the place I dream of visiting each day for lunch. My girls and I stopped in to grab a bite and take a break from driving. The hospitality was out of this world! This is a cute little deli with a boutique kind-of store.

My family and I absolutely love this place! The food is fantastic home cookin and Christa's homemade desserts are incredible. All served with that real southern hospitality that's just so hard to find these days. Her husband runs the family Christmas tree farm so please be sure to check that out if your around during the holidays.
