Because management keep current hours of operation posted to all their sites especially TripAdvisor..it cost us great inconvenience.we an end our day according to times posted to arrive begin paying for bair/ect.. to be informed we had hour and 15 minutes..when told bout website timesvery unconcerned and flippantyeah that's the way to treat repeat guests
.but guess what.. other piers are equally nice and can manage to keep guests information correctly posted

My husband loves to fish. I bring books and magazines and enjoy the sun. Unfortunately, this visit was in December and it was chilly. Hubby enjoyed scouting the area for good spots, talking with the locals for recommendations and digging for clams that were very abundant in one area.

Great place for an elevated walk out over the water. Good photo opportunity too. Less busy in the off season and no limit to how long you stay. Fisherman seating along the way and covered benches at the far end. Admission is $3. While there shop around the little misc shop and enjoy a snack or drink in the attached restaurant. Fun outing alone or with friends!

Cherry Grove will always have a special place in my heart from my childhood but its a great place to go fishing or crabbing with the family. It has not been affected by the hurricanes as of yet thank god. Prices are fair. Just park across the street in the parking deck for free vs parking in their parking area for $9.

This is a pretty cool pier and great spot for watching the sun go down. Been here several times and love it. It costs $9 to park which seems a bit excessive, though that does give you a single admission to the pier. You can rent fishing gear from the local store which also includes the fishing license if you don't have one which is cool.

Great spot, not overly busy and worth paying even though I complain about it.

Had a great time. The store is well stocked for fishing. There are snacks and a few touristy gifts. The view from the pier is awesome. The cafe is nice. The food was good and the service was great. Made for a fun adventure.

I love this pier. I go fishing here every morning while I'm on vacation. There is always so.ething biting, the guys in the shop are helpful, and the locals are always more than willing to talk and share tips. Beautiful sunrises as well. One of the highlights of my trips down to North Myrtle each summer.

Prince Resort during Christmas time is it feels like you are at the polar express. The decorations are grandiose, ( some people will think it's a lot, but I loved it) I wish I had a picture to post about it. Wait, I think I might. But even though its cold, it is beautiful. I came Dec 2012, and it was a life changing time for me. the view is heavenly- depending on which tower you are staying in- the one closer to the beach is the best, personally.

This is a nightly stop for us when we are in Cherry Grove. Im not the greatest fisherman, but walking along the pier, you can see some really good anglers catching fish constantly. Sharks are a big problem around the pier and are caught regularly. Theres nothing like watching someone wrestling with a nine foot shark for 45 minutes only to have the line snap. Very cool.

Very enjoyable, in my opinion.

I visited the pier this afternoon, for the first time, and it was a positive experience. The staff were personable and available (especially the parking attendant, who patiently explained to me the rules for entry). The pier's outbuilding was clean and comfortable, as was the walkway; the restaurant looked inviting, and though I didn't go in, I quite liked the warm, friendly smells that greeted me as I passed. There were bathrooms available, and the men's was orderly and well-maintained.

I was equally pleased with the pier itself, which, with its quiet, laid-back vibe, proved to be an excellent scene for the picnic lunch I'd packed. Out at the circular end, beneath its nice, shady roof, I had a long, leisurely meal, and it could be described as magical. The distance lulled me into feeling as if I was truly on open sea, and, with the help of a good book and my good food, I lost myself in the experience, as so rarely happens in adult life. Even back on proper land, I found that my "sea voyage" stayed with me long afterward, as to lend sparkle to the rest of my day. A magical time, indeed.

So, a word of thanks to all the good folks at the Cherry Grove Pier, for enabling my lovely open-sea picnic. I am sincerely grateful for your work and service.
