Most likely the creepiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Very small rooms, the bar was ok but I had to leave my teenage daughter outside to book a room because you had to book the room in the bar. In the morning there was no hot water at all, so I called up to the front and they fixed it and said we could have an extra hour to check out, then came to the door to see why we were still in the room at regular check out time. I was like, uh you gave us an extra hour because of the hot water. Probably will never stay again.
Cute place. Central location. Suited our needs for the weekend, very nice staff too!
Now place kinda small rooms but cozy I would stay again
Good place if you need a place to sleep for the night. But not great for long stays.
The room are cheap, clean and the showers are hot.
My boyfriend and I stayed there in January/February of this year. Very clean, small, simple place. Has nice TV's and fast internet. The owner is very friendly and housekeeping was decent. It's a very nice place for such a cheap price. I would definitely stay there again.
The owner was super nice. I was allowed to look at the rooms for future reference. Oh hell no. You could not pay me enough. It was creepy ,,dark and dank,,not to mention gross. I felt like I needed a shower just by walking in the room. Like I said the owner was as nice as he could be,,there is just no way.
Great place! Nice clean rooms, and great prices, very polite service.
This is not a motel with lots of frills and amenities but I love staying at Charlie's. It is always clean, bed is comfortable enough to sleep, bathroom clean and functions just fine. They have cable that works. The staff is excellent. Driving by you would say "No way am I staying there" but it is a pleasant surprise when you see what you get for $45-$55 a night. If you are used to Hiltons and Marriotts this will not be your cup of tea but if you are a budget conscience traveler definitely check out this diamond in the rough
Stayed there overnight in August of '09, drove in off the street after dark. Not fancy, not expensive, not a chain. Bar on the premises, not raucous, friendly. I couldn't tell you if the towels matched or not, not relevant. I wanted a clean bed and a clean shower and they were both fine. No fuss checking in with the barman, no fuss checking out with the desk next morning. I had a bed in my van, could have slept for free (and usually do) -- this was just fine. I'd be pleased to stay there again.
Charlie's isn't the fanciest place, but it has everything I need. It's clean, it has a microwave and fridge, it's close to town, there's a good bar on the premises, and it is very affordable. The owner is a nice guy, too. I could pay more for a different place in town or on the edge of town, but it wouldn't give me any more than Charlie's, so why bother. Next time I'm back in Frostburg, I'll be staying at Charlie's.
