We checked into the Ft. Wayne Courtyard by Marriott today and had dinner at Champions with the charming Trisha as our server. Our hotel room is lovely and has a view of Christmas windows across the street at the Indiana Hotel. Our only complaint is that, after I got my hair wet in the shower, I discovered there was no shampoo in the bathroom. Downtown Ft. Wayne has become a destination, and this Marriott is in the middle of the action. Highly recommend.
This has gone from our favorite hotel in Fort Worth to our least favorite. Showering one night I stepped into broken glass left in the shower stall. I was bleeding heavily as I waited for the staff to find a manager, search for a first aid kit (which they did not have) and some gloves so that I could find the rest of the glass so another incident did not occur. We left early the next morning after the sinks would not drain and the toilet would not flush. We've been guests almost weekly since 2015 and to say that we were truly disappointed is an understatement. Once they realized that I wasn't going to sue all kindness diappeared. The manager asked us to consider them again and we did. Even called and emailed, as she requested, to let her know we would return and did not receive even a return call. Two more stays and each room is poorly maintained. So sad that such a nice property is being poorly managed.
Our waitress, Trisha, was super attentive. She made sure our drinks were always filled and we were happy with our food. The fries were super crispy. The chicken wings are massive! The buffalo chicken wrap had plenty of sauce, keeping it from being dry. And getting to watch tv and your table, just a bonus.
Uh fish tacos that's all that needs to be said. 👍🏾👏🏾 Trisha Roby was fantastic. She constantly checked on us but wasn't hovering. Very respectful of our conversation and never interrupted us. Just walked past and glanced every once in a while. The word Intuitive comes to mind.
This was a very nice sports bar with lots a TVs. You get a lot of food! My server, Trisha Roby, took good care of us and kept our drinks full. I really enjoyed the food and service.
First time here and it was a good lunch. Nick W was a great server. Two thumbs up!!
Nick Wright is the best server in town. Great food. Great drinks. Great atmosphere!
Dorene was quick and attentive. Very kind. The food was awesome. Went here for a quick meal before a baseball game.
Stopped in on our way from a wedding to the reception and our server Jordan was a rockstar. Drinks were flowing and the food was quick and delicious. I will definitely go back to the Champions when I am in Fort Wayne.
DON'T GO HERE. When I called, they said the kitchen serves food until 1145. When I got there at 1020 they informed me at the hostess stand the kitchen is "backed up" so by the time we would be able to order the kitchen will be closed. What puzzles me is that there are tons of open tables and the majority of people already have their food. It seems to me that people there aren't wanting to do their job. Too bad because I always tip 50% of my bill.
Great place to relax if staying at the Marriott, but not worth going out of the way for. Food is reasonable on price but the taste is bland. The Philly Chicken was basic processed chicken topped with cheese and peppers on a low end bun. The fries are typical frozen packaged fries. An okay place if wanting a bite and you don't have the time to walk elsewhere as the food is not great, but it is edible.
Food is less than good. Drinks are light. Service is bad. Nothing good about this place.
I love the small, quaint sort of New York City feel of the front dining room. The drinks are fabulous, the food is sensational If you like seafood, they can prepare it any way you like it. Definitely one of our go to local favorites.
The salad bar is the best I have ever tried. We're talking caviar, and other fish. The lamb was very tender and cooked to perfection
Apparently if you want to eat here you need to allow yourself at least 2 hours. All we ordered was an appetizer before a show at the Embassy and after 45 minutes of no food, or even a waitress checking on us, we had to just ask for a bill for our drinks and leave without eating. No apologies from anyone and we even got our bill from the manager! The table next to us was having the same issues. Please Champions, you are in this great location and could have a wonderful business going! Be aware of the Embassy's schedule and have the staff on hand to handle it. It wasn't even a full restaurant! We don't plan on returning any time soon.
