Great location to watch youth hockey, and the best part is that you don't have to pay to watch your own children participate!!
Nice rink, but they should have their heaters working with the money the NHL/Redwings pay them each year.
Great ice. Very nice locker rooms. However, the pro shop and snack bar were not open for early tournament games. The pro shop especially is unacceptable given how many kids forget stuff at tournaments. As far as the actual hockey facilities go though, this place is pretty tough to beat for amateur hockey.
I understand the financial commitment of Junior Hockey. However, having experienced BlueCollar youth hockey from my days at Gordie Howe Arena in St. Clair Shores, Marquette Jr. Hockey, Frazier, Royal Oak etc., House Leagues grew the sport. The expansion of "Travel" diluted the talent and escalated the cost. It put hockey out of reach for the working class. I prefer the Minnesota and Massachusetts models.
Center ice is the home rink for my hockey team also like my second home. It's always so clean and everyone is super friendly!
Good ice even in the summer. HOT water in the showers. Roomy locker rooms. It could benefit from a water bottle fill station, especially considering the caliber of visitation
If anyone ever invites your child to play hockey do your family a huge favor: spit in their face and walk away. Don't look back. Period. In my experience, the financial and time commitment this sport demands are so far beyond anything reasonable that it's just sad to see people sacrifice their families-- year round-- to their God hockey. And this is one of the good programs. I wish we had never heard of the place.
Nice faculty for skating and curling.
Great venue for ice sports. Clean, helpful staff and super convenient location.
Great place to watch hockey!
Detroit Red Wings - Center Ice - Training Camp in beautiful Traverse City setting. Not a better place to be in September.
It's a nice complex. It's a little out of TC and could use a traffic light at the entry. I've noticed There tends to be a lot of people parked really obnoxiously in the parking lot; which I recognize as being a bizarre thing to say, but still, is something I've noticed.
