Rude staff and faulty bikes! Sound good? Then this is the place for you! This company ruined our day in NYC. Staff outside were so disgusting! They were beyond rude, unfriendly, unprofessional and could barely even speak English. This is NYC, your job is dealing with tourists and you can't even speak/understand English. How do they even have a job? We questioned the condition of the bikes before we rode them and were told all bikes had already been inspected (in a rude tone and in broken English so this is what we assumed they said). Due to the location of this rental shop to Central Park we had to walk our bikes to the southern end of the Park because traffic was heavy with cars and pedestrians in the street. It turns out that at least one of the bikes were definitely not inspected prior to our using it as one had a seat that was unable to be tightened so it would move around the entire ride. You also had to ride with a very low seat because you couldn't lock in a certain height of the seat. This worst part was that the gears on this same bike were not able to be changed, it was locked into a high gear. When you went uphill you would have to pedal a thousand times to get anywhere. This made for our 'leisurely' ride around the park more like an intense workout. I tried to fix the seat and gears multiple times to no avail so it just ended up being a really uncomfortable ride leaving one of us dripping with sweat thanks to the high gear. We explained our experience to the staff inside when we returned the bikes and they just kept repeating the same spiel about how we could have called and we would have been given another bike. This actually meant we would have had to walk the bikes all the way back to 56th st, when a staff member from the very beginning should have done their job and pre-inspected the bikes. We told them by the time we started riding we were already near the visitors center in the park - it was quite a distance from the rental shop and they just stated we should have brought the bikes back. The staff were very condescending and kept stating that when we picked up the bikes we were told the procedure of returning bikes. We had not been told by the way, we explained this to them this and they just repeated that we would have been told because they circle info on a receipt they give you when you pick up the bikes. Lol, who looks at a receipt when at the same time they hand it to you, they say go pick up your bike outside? Of course we just put it in out pocket and walked outside to the bikes. This place was an absolute joke! Staff need to be fired asap and bring in some people with better attitudes who can actually speak English. I also recall when we brought the bikes back another tourist was complaining about the same issue we had about the seat and the rude staff just kept saying 'why didn't you bring it back?' She was explaining the same thing we did - that she walked it all the way to the park and that she was too far away to turn back when she began riding.they were so rude to this girl too. I hope they go out of business. What a terrible experience, wish I could give them zero stars

We did the tour through Central Park with the NYC pass and were pleased overall. Our tour guide, Maggie, was really good. She was friendly, informative and really made the tour entertaining while giving us some incredible photo opportunities. The business itself was good. Would definitely recommend

We did the tour through Central Park with the NYC pass and were fairly pleased overall. Our tour guide, Dan, was really good. Friendly, informative and his jokes were hilarious. The business itself was good. A little hard to see from the street but overall it was a great experience ! Would definitely recommend

Our Tour guide was Dan, he totally made the tour, he was a mind field of information, I would recommend anyone coming to New York to try and make the bike tour one of the first things you do as the information he gave us about where to eat and places to go was invaluable, a must do.

Easy process for check-in. Almost as easy for check-out. Can get a little manic in the shop it seems. The staff try to keep things in order, but we the general public are too wild to control sometimes! Good quality bikes, with all the provisions you need for a personal tour round central park.

They have really nice Canondale bikes. Nice location where you can go to the river side or central park bike paths. You can get in and out in less then a minute. Reasonable pricing.

Our tour guide Dan was very informative about everything to do with New York and really made my first time being here extra special! A nice easy bike tour for anybody who is an expert or a rookie at biking. I had no idea so many famous people lived around Central Park either wow!! The photo ops were great and was always kept entertained with Dan's knowledge! It was such a fun time *Even though it was crazy humid!* 100% will be recommending this to friends/family! Thanks again --all the way from Canada with love! ♡

AMAZING BIKE TOUR! Bikes are good and you get to see lots! Our guide DAMIEN IS PHENOMENAL!!! We loved him soon as he started talking to us. We knew we were going to have quite an adventure. He was very knowledgeable about the area (of course), stopped at the parts we wanted to see throughout the park, entertaining and gave us tips about where to go and awesome food spots for after the tour.
We went at 9am on a Thursday a great time to go. Smaller group and not that busy throughout the park.
I highly recommend this bike tour! And hopefully if you're as lucky as we were you'll get Damien as a guide as well!!

Dan made our bike tour of Central Park a most pleasurable couple of hours. He had heaps of quirky facts and great stories which kept all of us in the Peloton entertained. He made all of us feel welcome and it was great to see so many questions asked by people from all round the world. If you are thinking of doing a bike tour of Central Park, Dan is the Man!

I got a good deal with the Go City Pass. It works out essentially to be a full day rental for half price. The adult bikes are light and easy to handle. The rental line was only about 5 minutes at 4 PM.

Two stars removed for the rock hard seats. We were only able to ride for 90 minutes before we were too sore to go on.

Definitely check out other options in the area and feel their seat cushions prior to renting for long periods.

DAN was a GREAT tour guide and definitely made the tour fun. He impressed me before the tour even started by introducing himself to every one in our group, young and old. He kept us safe, but kept us moving - stopping often enough for some great photos, but keeping the pace up to keep it fun. The tour was full of facts and interesting tidbits about the park and the people who lived in the big apartment buildings lining it. Well worth it! We asked Dan to suggest some great local pizza. We followed his suggestion and went to Sacco's Pizza after the ride. PERFECT! Yummmm. Thanks Dan!
