Set up for a long wait time and most staff seem to be under qualified

Wow-I really don't even want to give this place a ONE STAR-These people are mean and nasty with attitudes. They never believe a word you say. If you tell them you are disabled and show them proof, they still do not believe you. Now I see why they have to have security there. And it is not just the location. dss and hhs or whatever they choose to call it is the same no matter where you go, ny, ca, mi, mo, nv etc. They literally want people to kiss their back sides to get help and I will never do that. They want people to die or work for them even if they cannot work. And if you ever have an EMERGENCY such as a PENDING EVICTION and they do not see you to address the matter THE EXACT SAME DAY, ask for a EMERGENCY FAIR HEARING-YOU WILL WIN. This place needs to replace most of the workers in there with staff that know what they are doing. I guarantee you someday they will all be in the same boat that needy and disabled people are in. HUGE thumbs DOWN.

Went to Cayuga County DMV. Upgrade in procedures works well and keeps lines to a minimum. The result is less tension for staff and visitors, making visits more productive.

IMPROVE AND REPLACE YOUR WORKERS-SERIOUSLY-There is a worker there by the name of Dean Aversa who really has absolutely NO CLUE of what he is doing and is getting paid for it. When someone tells you about 3 or 4 times at least, that a form was faxed over, they need to get up, do some work and retrieve it-NOT call the person and bug them about it and tell others they don't have it. A medical form (About the 4th so far that says the same thing over and over, I AM NEEDED IN THE HOME.) And then calls me and tries to tell me that even though the form says for a year, that they have a policy every 6 months, well-I HAVE MY VERY OWN POLICY-and that is FAIR HEARINGS. And tells me he is gonna deny my case, well-why did you not do that then Dean? I was waiting. Get rid of this worker, he is a waste of taxpayers money and I am a taxpayer. I have nothing to say to this person and will NEVER deal with it again, we do not get along.

To be honest only very few workers at the DSS office are helpful, and the automated phone service is crap because it does not sent you to the attendant it just keeps going in circles and will not allow you to leave a message the taxpayers money is spent foolishly by keeping certain people employed here as well as how things word here its unfare to the needy and the government need to investigate this place!
