Dr Ask loves cats, and it shows. He is very sensitive about cost, his staff makes sure you understand what you're paying for; and gives a breakdown before starting services.

I went to this place after reading so many positive reviews on google. It was the worst mistake I've ever made.
First of all, they will work very hard to "milk" you for money. That's the only thing they seem to care about. And if you refuse to pay the overpriced quote, they'll call you "aggressive and demanding." My cat has urinary tract issues, and our previous vet did a great job on unblocking him for a reasonable price and without pushing us to unnecessary procedures two years ago. Unfortunately, we had to move, otherwise I would never take my cat to this awful place.
Another thing that struck me really hard was the way they treated animals. My cat was in pain, but they kept hurting him even during the medical examination. Our previous vet was always super attentive and gentle with the cat, while this one and his assistant seemed not to care about him at all. No stroking, no even a slightest attempt to make the cat feel comfortable. I've never seen a vet treating animals with so much cruelty and indifference.
They also became very rude after I refused most of their proposed procedures.
If you love your pet, stay away from this place.
P.S. They refused to give me the prescription for his diet after this review. I had to take my cat to another place. As I said, awful staff with no compassion for sick pets.response / report this review -

I've been taking my cats to Cats Only since it was owned by Dr. Wooley. Under Dr. Ask, the tradition of excellence has been taken to a different level.

Dr. Ask and his staff are friendly, flexible for scheduling and for picking up food/ prescriptions. Dr. Ask's degree from Penn and his continuing advances and study mean the best for treatment and care for young through senior cats. We've been bringing our cat to him for almost a decade!

This rating is based on the initial phone call i made to them. The woman on the phone was super nice and was very knowledgeable on everything. She explained pricing and what needed to be done and how it would be done. It's a bit of a drive for us but im willing to drive for quality. I am looking forward to having them as my cats Vet.

We've been going to Cat's Only for a long time maybe 6 or more years. All 5 of our cats (2 have since passed of old age) saw Dr. Ask. He is very thorough and his staff is so positive and supportive. Due to having cats with health concerns, they spent time with me to teach me how to administer pills as well as monthly B12 shots (one cat we rescued has IBD). Their office is immaculate, and never smells as other vet offices that we've been in while volunteering with rescue organizations often do. They are always able to answer questions and they're cat condos are great if you're traveling. We would absolutely recommend their office.

Wow, great vet and staff! I'm so happy we took our cat here for a second opinion. They found the root of the problem that was missed by another vet. All the staff there are highly knowledgeable; you can tell they continue to learn and truly care about their patients.

I tried calling a veterinary hospital that has served us well in the past. Although they were "open", no answer! So, I found Cats Only on the web, and we are very glad. They got us in right away and provided excellent service. Dora is recovering nicely.
The location is central in Montgomery County; the place is clean (in view and smell), and the staff is caring and professional.
We are confident that we have the right place in Cats Only to take our pets.response / report this review -

My experience with Dr. Ask has been professional, caring and compassionate care for my cat. He is up front and doesn't hide anything from the owners and he is willing to talk anytime he can about your cat.
I highly recommend him and am very happy I found him.
I have to drive a little over an hour and it is well worth it.. He and his staff have cared for my furry baby like he was one of their own.
He has a very positive and energetic staff. I have boarded my cat there numerous times and he has come home clean and happy.
He is worth the drive his fees are in line with other vet hospitals
