Beautiful cathedral. Stations of the cross on point. Very well maintained!
Beautiful minor basilica that really complements the historic Santa Fe town square. Although it is not nearly as old as some of the historic buildings, it blends in well. Beautiful church.
An incredible place to visit! The architecture is incredible and a serene place to enjoy the presence of God. The stained glass windows were exceptionally beautiful and it was walking distance to all of the surrounding tourist attractions.
I always stop in to light a candle at this church when I'm near the plaza. It's paintings and ornamentation are gorgeous and it's a lovely place to stop and have a few moments of quiet in your day.
Stunning minor Basilica in the heart of Santa Dr, on the Old Santa Dr Trail. Beautiful stained glass, painted Stations of the Cross, and ornate altars. The collection of 1st class and other relics is outstanding. Photos welcome (no flash, please). Large, enclosed Chapel to the right of the main altar, where the Blessed Sacrament is reserved and people can pray in quiet.
This was an amazing place to visit. The stained glass windows are just beautiful and the whole place looks cared for and loved.
Amazing place you will feel faith all over the place. History great art design.
Beautiful architecture, art, and ambiance. An integral organization in the community. The free visit is a plus, but you're likely to be impressed enough to leave a donation. Take a moment on your visit to Santa Fe to explore this edifice. Best time? During the Fiesta de Santa Fe in September.
I'll admit it feels weird to leave a review of a cathedral but I was so moved by my experience there, I thought I should. We visited during a weekday when we could enter and not disturb any services. The building is beautiful and the stained glass is exquisite. We lit a candle in memory of my Grandma and admired the Stations of the Cross paintings. My littles, 5 and 2 were surprisingly well behaved. The cathedral is a special place.
Church is beautiful and everything a basilica should be. The biggest issue was the lady at the front door. She could not have been more hateful and rude. Ruined the entire experience. I understand working with the public but if you are that burned out, please find another job. We drove 900 miles and spent a lot of money for this experience. A hateful comment and rude behavior can ruin everything. Shame on her.
This church is very historic, but it feels more like a museum than a Catholic church because of all the tourists walking around and talking. Not a good place to worship at Mass, or to pray in. There is a quiet Adoration chapel in a church a few blocks away. Rather go there.
Went to mass on Pentecost Sunday. Absolutely beautiful! Local parishioners very welcoming. Will attend every trip to Santa Fe.
Beautiful art in the stations of the cross prayer garden. Beautiful architecture. Surprisingly, there is a little book store inside. Neat labyrinth outside in courtyard. Recommend taking a peek.
The Host was WONDERFUL, we purchased ornaments clerk was so so, sorry we are native New Mexicans and we weren't dressed to impress lol.. We enjoyed are time and moved on. God Bless us All.
This is the only Cathedral we had time to visit but from first walking in we were greeted with such open arms and we were all given a history lesson on the lighting of the candles. It was our first time.
But the detail of all the art work and paintings I was in awe. I would come and visit again if I had time. Hopefully in the near future we can visit them all.
