Wonderful, quiet, gorgeous place. Terrific, original breakfasts. Very nice staff, and Belinda is the best!
The place was beautiful and comfy. However, the reason I selected this Bed & BREAKFAST was because they said they could cater to a vegan diet. If they had not I would have chosen a different establishment that was closer to Santa Fe, which is the town I was visiting. It turns out, the best they could do for vegans was serve us a bowl of fruit with non-dairy yogurt. The second day she said she would make us a tofu scramble which we were excited about, but it turned out to be tasteless tofu and nothing else. No veggies or anything. If you're a vegan I would suggest finding another place.
I stayed for two consecutive nights in early August, 2017. Casa Escondida Bed and Breakfast is a unique experience that I will remember. The rooms are in excellent condition. I don't think that all of the rooms have an AC or a mini refrigerator. You may want to inquire about your particular choice for a room. The staff is genuinely friendly and very helpful.
I stayed in one of the upstairs room that has a balcony. Breakfast was much better than the typical "Continental Breakfast". The quality of the Wifi connection that was available was more than adequate (If you stay in one of the free standing rooms you might want to bring an external Wifi adapter for your laptop for better range). The bed was quite comfortable.
There is an awesome New Mexico style restaurant, the Rancho De Chimayo in Chimayo, NM, about 1.6 miles away. You have to try it. If you are on a business trip and need to print documents, a printer is available. You might need to email the documents to yourself, since all the ports on the available laptop that is connected to the printer are used for various connections.
We had a wonderful stay here! We booked the Vista room and it is so cozy and beautiful, complete with a private balcony. Very clean and homey. The staff was lovely, friendly and very accommodating. It is a bit tucked away into Chimayo, which we loved! The common areas were very nice and we spent some of our evening down by the fire pit. A lovely place to stay if you're visiting the Santa Fe area, or if you're local and looking you get away for a weekend.
Every detail (except air conditioning) was addressed. Very neat little Southwest theme in this hidden b&b. Quiet. Great value.
A relaxing quite hide away from the hustle of the city. The keeps of this Bed & Breakfast are very friendly sweet people.
I really liked this place. My wife, son and myself stayed there for a week. The staff was very attentive, and accommodating. If you are looking for a 5 start hotel this is not the place, but if you want a nice quiet place to relax and get away from it all, this is it. For a quieter stay I do recommend late in the season, such as October, the last day were were there we were the only ones there. This is also a great place home base for exploring northern New Mexico.
This is my fourth time staying at this B&B just off the beaten path to Santa Fe, and certainly not my last. It's also my first time exercising their pet-friendly policy. My border collie was welcomed and they even had dog biscuits waiting in our room. The breakfasts have been delicious as always and the proximity to so many great outdoor activities is great.
This place is heaven on earth. We booked the Vista room the night of the 4th. First off they let us check in early which on a massive road trip was much appreciated. Check in was effortless. Snacks and drinks were provided. The room was clean and the balcony was to die for. Downstairs was the patio where there are tons of beautiful birds and hummingbirds. It was quiet and peaceful and every accommodation they could make they did. Amazing stay, was so incredibly sad to leave. Definitely worth visiting
