The cabins were cute but for the month my wife and I were there we didn't have tv because of bad signal the refrigerator leaked water daily no dresser no closets and parking was a bit tough at times. Great for weekend not sure about long term.
Great set up. Well kept. Lots of good people. Kids playing
Member warning: Do not go here! Carolina Landing Manager kicks people out at random. He filed a false police report to summon the sheriff's department to have me removed for what he claimed was "cursing at little kids," which never happened. After that, member services locked me out of all Thousand Trails properties without every contacting me as to why my membership is "under review", a fancy way of suspending me without informing me as to why. All attempts to have the member services manager contact me has fallen on def ears. I will be filing a complaint with the S.C. State Ethic Commission on the sheriff's department for allowing this to happen and for altering the police CAD and 911 "report". Also, a full review will be placed on a website recently bought by the reviewer.
SCARY PLACE. Was supposed to stay for a couple of weeks during our evacuation, but left after only two nights. I stayed up all night the second night as I was afraid. Lots going on into the wee hours of the night. Escort drunk and driving golf cart up and down hills. Campsites were hilly, unlevel and the place was pretty dirty. This was our first experience with a thousand trails resort. Not a pleasant one.
Great RV park. It is very hard to get to. The access road is on the exit ramp with no signs. Once we got there is was in a beautiful location. It was very quite well maintained.
Our family stayed here the weekend. We came on Friday Sept.1 2017 and stayed until Monday Sept. 4,2017. We had the BEST TIME!!!!!! We met some very super nice people while eating the hot dogs that the manager fixed for all of the campers. AWESOME!!!! Then on Sunday night, we ate shrimp, sausages, potatoes and corn on the cob which was also prepared by the manager and it was given to the campers, letting us know that he truly appreciates all of us. Oh and don't forget THE SMORES!!!! We played pool in the game room and lots of other games. The old messed up room is NOW THE AMAZING NEW CLUBHOUSE. It is sooooo beautiful. We will return to this place. We can't wait to come back. Our daughter and her friend had loads of fun too. Lots of thanks to the manager. Sincerely, Billy, Patricia and Annie Byers
Awesome campground, really peaceful here. Nice and quiet, close enough to town but far enough from the hustle and bustle. Convenient access to 85 and the staff are really sweet people, very accommodating!
An amazing weekend! They were at capacity because of the eclipse and had all kinds of events planned, they all went off without a hitch. From the space themed lunch and crafts to the stellar music, it was a great time. The cabin we were in was huge and nicely appointed. They're older cabins but clean and well cared for. The staff was super friendly and fun to be around. We'll definitely be back!
Beautiful views near lake. Quiet place, clean restrooms. Recreational room with pool and TV. There is a Dollar Store less than a mile away and gas station. The Hideaway Bar and Grill has Karaoke and 💃 dancing.
Very hilly and difficult to level.
My biggest complaint is there are quite a few people who live there year round and many of them don't believe that the park rules apply to them. Driving the wrong way down a one way street. Driving really fast. Parking in the road. Letting dogs run loose. Not picking up after the dog. There are areas of the park that are not available to just anyone. Fees are also not consistent.
Really nice park in beautiful area. They do have some issues with pull through sites on hills: the sites are asphalt (nice), but unlevel and harder to repair or even out (not so nice). And too narrow on many of them to have room for much of a patio to use.
I still think it is a well maintained park overall, and in a great location, so with a smaller RV the spots would be great most likely. Our 41 foot coach was not an easy fit, and no room for outside stuff or parking a car easily.
There some other spots in a different section that look more reasonabke, though I think that area is 30 amp only.
It depends what you are here for really, but this is a beautiful location, and maintained nicely for what we use. Just be sure to arrive when you can pick your site as needed.
Great location but the RV sites in the area I was in were in terrible disrepair. I was surprised the campground did not have a store or restaurant in it considering how far away it is from everything. It would not take much to make this a great camping destination. I hope they start working on it.
We stayed in a cabin and I will say the cabin wasn't bad. The floors were nice the table and kitchen were nice the bedroom was big and nice but showers could be improved but I will say we didn't have any bug issues or anything and the air in the place was amazing. The roads and other things could use Tlc but it's a camp ground. I gave it the rating I did because the showers really suck it leaked and is not big enough.
