  We hold our weekly kayaking classes here on Monday nights. The guards and the managers are fantastic. Great group of people.

  Great environment w welcoming attitude. The babysitters are excellent and really love the kids. Lots of classes at different times and there is always machines open.

  Super place with lots of choices great customer service. Try to avoid locker rooms not kept very clean. Have told them several times but no evidence they ever did anything. I would give 5 stars if locker room was not so dirty.

  What a great recreation center! Thats true for all the Lakewood rec centers, but especially so for Carmody. They have an Olympic size swimming pool, and also a ton of exercise equipment. They even have an outdoor pool for summer time! I've been to this rec center three times, and had excellent experiences each time!

  Bark and Splash Bash 2017 great day for the dogs but the ramps for them getting out of the pool are not that good and should have better ones and more of them too.

  Love the 50m pool. Great outdoor pool too. The new playground is awesome! The adult fitness area is surprisingly fun while watching my kids play.

  The life gaurds here are very unfriendly... Also the other day I was in the swim lanes and I was choking on water(which isn't that bad) and both the life gaurd didn't even look at me and one was on his phone.

  Fantastic 50m lap pool! This is one of the nicest lap pools that I have had the pleasure of using. I didn't visit the rest of the gym.

  Carmody lacks useful equipment, which is disappointing when compared to other recreation centers of similar size in neighboring cities. While there is a sizable pool, both indoor and out, larger provisions in regards to weight lifting equipment and even a sauna and/or steam room are things that would improve this center. However, staff is friendly and equipment is well kept and clean

  I visit Carmody Pool for USA Swimming swim meets. Considerable deck space. If you arrive early, you can camp at some of the picnic tables. There are several short bleachers. I recommend bringing chairs for swim meets. In summer, South side is sometimes open for more space, but it will be in the sun. It does get crowded. There is more parking in lot north of building.
