Great location, a lot of parking space and its next to some of the best restaurants in town. The rooms are very clean and stuff is very helpful. loved our stay here.

This is a very clean family hotel that includes a cozy outdoor garden patio with a nice fire pit. Front staff were very pleasant and overwhelmingly welcoming. We stayed only one night but enjoyed the wonderful peaceful night. Hotel has a heated pool and a jacuzzi great for kid entertainment. Kudos to all management and staff for making our stay memorable.

This hotel is awesome. My stay was very relaxing, enjoyable, and pleasant. Devina at the front was very helpful and took care of my reservations without any problems what so ever. I tried their room service for breakfast and it arrived on time. By the way, their bacon is awesome. This hotel is centrally located near restaurants stores and a Safeway. You literally don't have to drive anywhere.

I was there for work and I'm definitely planning on returning back for pleasure. I will definitely use when I return for work once again.

I highly recommend this Carmel Mission Inn. Thank Devina and to the restaurant staff.

The grounds, lobby and our room was nicely designed, clean and tidy. Each member of the staff greeted us and was very friendly. The Scratch Restaurant is within walking distance and was awesome for breakfast. The Aquarium was a short drive. Great place, we'll definitely come back.

Beautiful place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Shopping and great restaurants in walking distance. Just a short drive from Point Lobos and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Would definitely stay here again.

Best stay for the money!! Super friendly staff. Super clean and nice rooms! They even let us stay in the hot tub a little longer since we arrived late. The whole staff is so nice. I will deff stay here every time we're in the area!

We really enjoyed the retro feel of this hotel. It has been refurbished in the past couple of years and the owners kept the late 60's early 70's feel. It was very well done. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were clean. The bathrooms were on the small side but we're tastefully appointed. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool area. Stopped into the lounge for a few minutes. There was live music and about a dozen guests enjoying themselves dancing and socializing.
    We will stay there again.

Spent 2 nights on the 3rd floor facing the pool, and it was a bad use of our money to stay here.
The room is on the small side, with a very cramped bathroom. One side of the 2 queen bed is so close to the wall that it can't be used. I had to crawl to the end of the bed to get up from the bed. The room decor is drably and dated, the curtains dirty and ripped. The mini fridge is extremely small and no microwave in the room.
On the first night a Friday we ate at the on grounds restaurant and the food was ok but not worth the price tag, you can get a better meal for the price in downtown Carmel. The highlight was the Bloody Mary, which did have some nice spice to it and had plenty of Vodka.
After going back to our room around 9:45 a handful of guests started to use the spa and pool and were very loud. All the written and posted pool times are 9am to 10pm. By 10:40 pm they were still going strong and I called the front desk. I was then told, that the summer hours were 11pm. These are not posted anywhere. They offered no alternative for my family to get rest.
In the morning we ate at the restaurant for breakfast. It was just a run of the mill buffet. Don't expect real maple syrup here, pretty cheap food, but the service was good.
Saturday night more people in the pool at night, not as late but still out there.
Taking a shower and leaving the bathroom door open made the smoke detector start to chirp and go off, there is no extractor in the bathroom.
At check out, no one asked how my stay was or cared about how it had gone.
The take away here is: This is not a place that will be quiet. Not a place where staff cares about the quality of your stay. Its way overpriced, and leaves a lot to be desired.

The rooms are quiet and clean, but the prices don't match the amenities. I would stay here again but would look elsewhere first It's near a Safeway and a CVS which is convenient..

Clean, comfortable, excellent pool area. Although it doesn't have any views of the sea, it's still a charming layout with a wonderful heated pool and jacuzzi (if we're being picky, the water could be hotter). We didn't try the breakfast/restaurant but loved the room which was perfect for 2 + 2 kids. Nice shops and restaurants in the area; delightful!

Stayed here for a friend's wedding, so I'm not sure how the non-block price compares, but the block price seemed like a great deal. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and unique. Ours was ocean themed and they had done a nice job of incorporating the theme. The bathrooms were really nice and the bath products smelled great. This wasn't a 5 start luxury hotel, but it was extremely clean, comfortable, and pretty modern. We used the pool and hot tub, which were both very nice. The staff was also friendly. We ordered breakfast, which was very tasty and the portions were large.

A family member wanted to stay here so I agreed and was pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff, awesome pool, nice grounds, convenient to many things and just an overall nice feel. Don't be put off by the location next to a shopping center and behind a gas station you can walk to Starbucks Safeway and a lot of great restaurants and one of the most beautiful beaches just a 5 minute cat ride away!
