This is a tough one to review for me. Normally when I travel for business I stay at 4 to 5 star resort hotels. Carey Institute is not that. But it has a wonderful vibe. It is a hotel and conference complex in the middle of the woods. The food was wonderful and home style in a quaint restaurant. There is a building of meeting rooms. The hotel is like a dorm, each room had a private bathroom, no TV, older furniture. But clean and comfortable. There was a main house that was like a bed and breakfast style with a wonderful library for events. I was there in the heart of the winter. It was wild walking through the snow from place to place. But heck we were all New York Staters, so it was normal for us. The staff was friendly and for a guy who likes luxury, I really had a good time. Great place for a retreat for a day or two.
