A perfect little spot on the east-end of Ojai with a dog. Easy check in & a clean room. Overall, a great place to spend the night.

Great value during a sold-out weekend - I brought my one year old up here for the weekend to go to the Lake Casitas Water Adventure and the town was pretty much booked. This hotel was one of the only places left so I was wary, however we loved it and had a great time there. Rooms were nice and well-done, yes sheets and pillows were a little scratchy but you're not paying Ritz prices so consider the value, free bottles of water and coffee in the lobby, super sweet front-desk ladies, nice pool with cabanas and kiddie pool even!

It's located outside of the main downtown area so I wouldn't say it's walking distance but it's close enough and I was a little concerned about safety but it's across the street from the fire station and next to the ranger post.

The a/c worked well which was important as it was in the 90s when we were there. Housekeeping was helpful, bringing me extra towels when my kids milk spilled. We were there for two nights and it was perfect for a super inexpensive weekend getaway.

(Note, leave the A/C on. Walls are thin, after I turned it off I could hear our next door neighbors talking).

Not exactly their fault but "booking. Com" reservations did not show up. Had to take different type of room. Unfortunately, haven't had hot water yet in room. Actually using a different room for shower! Not cool.. Checking out tomorrow and hoping to be compensated Hmmmm..

Not there yet. This place apparently has new owners and they are currently renovating. We spent far, far too much money (busy Summer holiday) for a room with IKEA fixtures and furniture and half painted walls. I like IKEA, just not in a hotel room I guess. I'd say this place is ok but I wouldn't spend more than than hundred per night. For us, it was literally a place to lay our heads and shower but it failed on both accounts. Beds were unbelievably firm. Our backs killed us the next day. The shower curtain was missing the plastic backing so the water shot straight into the bathroom floor. Luckily there were plenty of towels so we could mop up.

Management was nice and understanding but since we booked through HotelTonight, there was nothing to be done. I would avoid for a while until they are complete with their renovations in every room.

Also, definitely don't book on HT. The app's customer service was quite unhelpful with the whole situation. We were offered a $25 credit. I deleted the app. No thanks.

Sidenote: If you see a good rate on an app, call the hotel to try and book through them and save yourself a run around.

Hipster heaven! Run down motel at best. There is not vinyl or record players in room. No continental breakfast any of the mornings at the designated times as promised. Hard floors are so loud it woke the baby when I tip toed to the the bathroom.

stayed in this hotel while on a photo trip! rooms are nice and clean! enjoyed swimming in the pool after hot californian day too! if im in ojai, would stay there again for sure! its also right outside downtown across some golf course so its pretty quiet and tucked away!

I've visited the Capri Hotel on a number of occasions. Staff are welcoming, rooms are large and clean, and the fanced patio is HUGE! I enjoy Ojai and this hotel is convenient, just down the boulevard from downtown and close to a number of excellent restaurants.

The place is beautiful! They have a live fireplace, made of stone! A pool outside, and the rooms are clean and spacious!

The kids had a sleepover, so my husband and I decided to take an impromptu trip to Ojai. We booked our room through the Hotel Tonight app (a major discount compared to other third party travel apps), so perhaps that's the reason our room did not look as nice as the ones pictured on the Capri Hotel's website. We were a bit disappointed to see that we did not get a record player in our room as advertised on the app, but my biggest complaint, however, is with the less than sanitary toilet in our room's restroom. It was filthy, like something you'd expect to see at a gas station along a busy highway. . . I will spare you the details, out of respect for those with vivid imaginations, but it was bad. When all is said and done, for a last minute booking and single night stay at a reasonable price this place was okay. I don't think we will be returning, though. The beds and pillows in room 12 were uncomfortable, be warned.
