Didn’t see any whales but saw plenty of dolphins and had a nice time. Friendly and helpful crew. Concessions on the boat were very reasonably priced.

Might be nice to add another speaker or two as it was a little difficult to hear the announcements on the top deck.

Great three hour tour! The tour guide seemed to be very well informed and gave us interesting facts along the way. We saw several dolphins and the guide excitedly pointed them out when he spotted them. Would definitely recommend and would visit again.

Friendly crew and staff. I saw dolphins and bald eagles. It was fun. Two hour trip. Only minus I did not dee any 🐳. They have outdoor seating and indoor (air conditioned) seating. They also have a snack bar and small bar (🍺 and some mixed drinks). Free breakfast (coffee & danish) was provided and free parking. Ticket and 🍺 was fair price. Good wholesome fun.

I have been on the Cape May Whale Watcher several times. The crew is always very pleasant, informative and they make the experience rather enjoyable. The only disappointing thing is that I have not seen whales the three times I took the trip (many, many dolphin though), but that is Mother Nature's fault, not Cape May Whale Watcher. I will try again next summer. I would highly recommend this adventure to couples and families alike.

My husband and I, and occasionally friends and family, have been taking a cruise every Summer for years now. It is always an enjoyable experience. The boat is spacious, clean and maintained well. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the area. They guarantee dolphin sightings or you get a free trip that never expires so you don't waste your money. The tour is enjoyable, even without the dolphins and or whales, as they take you by all of the sites along Cape Mays shoreline. They have a variety of tours to choose from and you can get anything from snacks to dinner depending on the one you choose. I highly recommend this tour to everyone!

It was towards the end of the season so we only saw dolphins for a short period of time. But it was comfy, and fun to see baby dolphins! If I could I'd post the videos of the dolphins as I have plenty of those and poor pictures. The tour guide was very informative, the scenery was beautiful and the staff friendly.

I saw no whales, and I see no reason not to give this company 5 stars. Everything was well managed. Boarding and exiting the boat was a breeze even though there had to be well over 200 people there. The captain told us all about the different sights on the way out and gave us some animal facts as well. We went out for a dolphin and whale watching trip, and we only saw dolphins but no whales. The captain gave everyone on the boat a voucher for a free trip after even though their policy only ensures a free trip if you don't see anything. The boat was in great shape and obviously was well cared for and the staff genuinely want to provide a great experience. I can't wait to come back!

Since they gave us another pass due to NOT SEEING ANY WHALES I give it a 5 star rating~the boat ride was enjoyable, did see some dolphins. The boat is great!! I love the fact that there are lounge chairs to lay out in! Looking forward to going back and using our tickets and seeing whales

We had a wonderful trip! Loved hearing the history around Cape May, we really did learn a lot about the area and we've been coming here since we were children. We saw dolphins and a beautiful sunset. I got some great pictures. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Would recommend this trip. It was a lot of fun!

Thank you for an amazing dolphin sunset cruise! We saw tons of dolphins in no time at all. The captain and crew were all very friendly and informative. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area. The bonus was the complimentary pizza and hotdogs. Great family night outgoing!

I just had a terrible experience with these people. I bought the tickets through their website for a 1:00 pm cruise at around 12:00 pm. Since I live only 30 min away, I thought that it was a good idea to buy the tickets before hand to make sure I will have reserved sits when we arrive. I was wrong. We arrived at the dock at around 12:55 pm and I went to park the car when I heard a loud banging noise which startled my 7 years old daughter. It was on of the workers banging on the roof of my car while chasing it in the parking lot. During the brisk conversation he demanded to see my tickets and I said that I don't have them printed out because the confirmation email said so. After that he looked away for a moment and then informed me that we should leave because the cruise is sold out. After me reasonably protesting that I have bought the tickets already and should have sits reserved he said that it doesn't matter because I should have been at the dock 30 min before departure or I lose the reservation. So they sold my sits to someone else. Next, I walked to the ticket booth and was rudely told by a "lady" that I should have read the fine print in the confirmation letter. How is that supposed to help me? They inform their customers about the rule AFTER they purchase the tickets. Sounds like a scam to me. When I asked for a refund I was rudely told again that they do not issue refunds. So they will sell you tickets, then sell your spot to someone else and then will try to keep your money as well. What kind of business is that?

Thank you for your reply, Jeff. However, because of the way my family was treated by your business, I cannot accept your invitation. Furthermore, there is no clear and straightforward way to learn about this unfair reservation policy (how is it fair to sell the seat that I have already paid for to another customer!?) during the checkout process. It is buried in the small scrollable window at the end of the page - I had to specifically look for it to find it. You or your employees have obviously designed it that way to pray on unsuspecting customers in order to maximize your profit without providing any additional service. My daughter and my mother where looking forward to see some dolphins and whales, but instead we left disappointed, frustrated, and cheated.

This is the second time that my daughters and I went on the Dolphin Watch (2 hour tour) on the Cape May Whale Watcher and we were not disappointed!! The second time was even better than the first - so many dolphins, so close! It was awesome! The tour is very informational and well worth the cost! It is a great mix between info on the sea life and about historical facts about Cape May. Very interesting. Crew is friendly and I'd definitely do it again! Next time may go for the Whale and Dolphin package and cross my fingers to see a whale!

My daughters gave me the lighthouse tour as a fathers day gift and it was fantastic! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the bay. The commentary that they provided on each lighthouse was excellent and I could have listened to them all day. The ship had plenty of spaces inside and out to move around very comfortably. They provided a nice selection of food throughout the tour. The ship was very clean and well maintained. We were very fortunate to spot a humpback whale on the day we went out.

This past weekend, we once again had the pleasure of taking the 2 hour Dolphin Watching trip. This boat experience in the sunshine(!) was the highlight of an otherwise rainy, windy weekend. If we didn’t have this to look forward to on Sunday, we would have gone home on Saturday. We were thrilled to see lots of dolphins!
This was our third trip with the Cape May Whale Watcher crew and we highly recommend it! We are very happy while out on the sea and always impressed with their crew. We’ve gone out on one of the other boats in the area and were disappointed with that experience.
I LOVE that Captain Jeff is a strong supporter of keeping dolphins and whales living free and out of captivity. It’s an important message that needs to be given to people who would never give it a second thought. Hopefully it will encourage people to support The Dolphin Project and avoid supporting businesses that force these amazing animals to live in captivity performing circus stunts to amuse humans.
We will be back again next year!

Nice boat and nice staff. We only saw dolphins on my trip, no whales came out. They only guarantee you see one or the other. If you see nothing then they give you a free pass, but if you miss out on the whales during your trip you are out of luck. Although I think this is the rule with all the services. Nice views of cape may proper also.

Had a great time. Beautiful boat ride & we got to see plenty of dolphins as well as a humpback whale. The captain was great as well giving us some Cape May history & education on marine mammal life. My only complaint was having to listen to some guy vomit throughout the cruise.
There should be some screening & a recommendation to take Dramamine

Had a wonderful experience. The boat was big - lots of seating options, whether you want a chair/bench, shade/sun or even inside and air-conditioned.

Great captain/announcing. We saw a bald eagle, falcons, and a ton of dolphins but no whales on the day we went out. Still was an amazing experience, and a nice break from the typical shore day.

Price: I feel it was reasonably priced for a three-hour excursion. We had buy one, get one half off, so $120 for 4 people.
Service: Crew was professional, courteous, and appreciative of the business. Captains were knowledgeable and entertaining.
Boat: Spacious, and clean. Obviously big enough to handle the Delaware Bay's choppy waters!
Sightings: There are dolphins galore this time of year (porpoise in the colder months), so seeing so many of those was no surprise. We were fortunate enough to see a humpback whale--and followed him for about an hour. No breaches, but many "spouts" and one really nice look at the fluke.
Overall experience: A note to parents of small childrenplease be attentive! Not all, but some, were a bit ill mannered, and could have easily spoiled an otherwise nice trip. Luckily it is a big boat, and my legs work.
Give them a shot!
