This park is a short drive from the mouth of provo canyon. within a few mins you can be sitting on the bank of the provo river, setting up a picnic or hammock in the park. Kids can play on the playground and dogs can run around on the grass (pick up their shiz, please)
There are picnic tables, firepits, access to water and restrooms too depending on the time of year.response / report this review -

My girlfriend and I are always really bummed out because anywhere near SLC that is dog friendly is over flowing with cars on the weekends. We've been trying so hard to find a nice quiet place to walk and each weekend we are really disappointed.
I was just poking around on good ol' Google Maps and found this parking lot. Figured we could try this even though it is a 45 minute drive from our home. It was completely worth the drive. We were able to walk for a few hours with our dog and saw maybe 30 people and 4 dogs maximum between here and Bridal Falls. It was very peaceful to not have to worry about crowds everywhere.
We didn't even realize Bridal Falls was just down the way (about 30-40 minutes of walking maybe). It was a nice surprise. We also got to walk through Nunn's Park which is a campground that is closed at this time of the year. It was fun walking around the empty campground next to the river.response / report this review -

Beautiful area. High traffic but decent fly fishing if you're willing to Wade up or down stream from the parking lot.

Use the rock firepit for a nice evening fire. Great picnic tables and places for kids to play. Especially beautiful at the end of September and beginning of October.

Beautiful, quick escape from reality right next to the river. Always make a stop when long boarding or biking down the Provo canyon.

Really nice place, especially when you bring some fun stuff to do. Only problem I had was there seemed to be not very many good places to hammock.

You can start your run there and go straight to the Provo River Trail. A good portion of the trail has triangle marks (in cycles of 1,2,3,4) every 1/16 of a mile. Great for speed work.

Held our wedding reception there & couldn't have had a more perfect place. It's a beautiful park that's usually not crazy crowded like nunns or Vivian can be. Also the affordable price was a helpful bonus for us as well.

Beautiful park. A good 10-15 degrees cooler than the valley. The Provo river is very high and fast. Keep an eye on your children please.

There are two entrances to the park one closer to the mouth of the canyon and one a off to the left as you're pulling in. Will definitely enter the left entrance in the future as it leads to a far more modern/updated section that is really nice with picnic tables and groves as well as functioning bathrooms. This area is beautiful, the other half is kind of run down with weeds with minimal shade but does put you close to the Provo River Trail.

Well maintained area for picnics, bbq or fire pit. Very busy with especially with college groups, come early to get a spot.

The Provo canyon park system is really great.This park has a newer strange stonehenge bouldering playground that I think it geared more towards college age kids than younger kids. There is a pavilion and bathrooms. The trail also connects this park.

Nice location! It's right off the main road so high traffic but the canyon wall is right there, good for climbing around and a nice creek runs through with a lovely bridge. Good location!

This place is beautiful, so peaceful with the river and many sitting options. Recommended for those who want to just take some stress out, we went in a weekend and wasn't many people there.
