I've lived at The Monroe for the past two years and my experience with the complex has been very positive! My roommates and I have not experienced any serious issue with our apartment and maintenance has always been quick to fix any small problems that we report to the office. The staff in the office, in particular, are great! They're always super friendly and helpful every time I stop by the apartment's office building. The only issue I really have is that I wish the apartment would have a recycling program.
The staff here is great! I love the 24 hour gym! I would definatly recommend this place for an off-campus apartment! Location is perfect too! It is right behind Kroger and very close to the mall and Target!
I live in a 2 bedroom at the Monroe. I have a great view of the pond and enjoy listing to the fountain that they installed at the beginning of the summer. The apartment I moved into had a few issues but it was taken care of pretty fast. The location is great, right behind Kroger and the mall is super close. Its also nice that I didn't have to put any utilities in my name. I would recommend The Monroe to anyone looking for a garret location that is pretty affordable.
I have now been living at the Monroe for 2 years and I would highly recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for housing for next year. It's located to all of the major stores you would need to go to and not to far from campus. I didn't have a car my first year at The Monroe so the three bus routes that stop by the property really helped me get around. Perfect first apartment!
This place is great! It is super close to campus, the property is beautiful, and the staff is always super nice and friendly! I also really love the pool and the 24-hour gym. Definitely a great option for off-campus student housing.
My daughter lived there for 2 years and loved the place. If you have an issue that needs fixing she always gets help from the staff. We helped her move out and we did owe some money for the way she left the room but I felt it was worth it to pay them rather then fix all the holes and stained carpets my daughter left. The area is very safe so i give 10 stars if I could. Its great for the price.
extremely bad service. I paid the pet fee but they arrange someone who cannot live with dog as my roommate. And before I moved in, the furnitures were already damaged. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR IT EVEN THOUGH YOU REPORTED THEM BEFORE YOU MOVE IN!!!!! BAD!!!!! DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am glad I have only few more weeks left here. They are no doubt the worst, inconsiderate, disrespecting customer service and management team I have ever encountered. I was allowed to move in few days before the move in date only if I pay $$ per day until my lease starts but the same can't be done for the move out. They are in a COLLEGE TOWN and they perfected in ripping off STUDENTS. MY MOVE OUT DAY IS PURPOSEFULLY ON MY GRADUATION DAY AND I HAVE TO MOVE OUT THAT SAME DAY OR OTHERWISE FACE SOME RIDICULOUS FEES like paying the rent for the whole month or getting locked in into a whole year contract.
I live in a four bedroom apartment and everything sucks. The internet is slow as hell and whenever I call them they would tell me they have no control over it and its through some random third party company.
the AC unit is so loud my room feels like there is a power generator inside ( like supper load I sometimes sleep on the couch.)
The kitchen is so small so is the refrigerator. Their appliances are so old and it take them forever to repair broken stuff. Their washer and dryer will ruin your clothes and the list goes on..
To be fair though, they have decent amenities (basket ball court, tennis and volleyball) but they are available only in the summer and the GYM SUCKS ALWAYS. it's small and have few equipments with no mirrors and pull up bars. ALL OF MY THREE ROOMMATES AND I ARE MOVING OUT.
AND PLEASE STOP WITH THAT B.S SALES EMAIL YOU SEND OUT EVERY FEW DAYS. IT'S ANNOYING AND IT DOESN'T REPRESENT YOU.
THE ONLY PLACE THAT LOOKS GOOD IN THE WHOLE PLACE IS THEIR LEAING OFFICE. THEY SPENT ALL THIER MONEY THERE. DON'T LET THEM TRICK YOU. THE REALITY DOESN'T MATCH WITH WHAT'S ON THE PAPER AND WHAT'S IN THEIR OFFICE. THEY ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THEIR PROXIMITY TO CAMPUS, THE CITY BUS SERVICE, AND THE FACT THAT STUDENTS DON'T DO THAT MUCH RESEARCH BEFORE SIGNING LEASE.
Thank GOD I only have 8 weeks left here. Everyone considering living here should know that 99.9% of these 5 star reviews are absolute lies that they made their minions put out there. I mean read between the lines it's obvious to tell. Also, this apartment complex allows dogs and cats, and only dogs and cats. So if you have tiny little harmless animals that you love, DO NOT LIVE HERE. They actually ban the animals that cause NO damage whatsoever. They'll probably try to come up with some charge that is absolute thievery when I move out based on other reviews here. Also, I don't know WHO has access to my private locked bedroom when I'm gone, but they have access to it 24/7 regardless of if you are there or not. They could look through or take anything you have under lock and key in your bedroom and i have no idea who has access inside, it is DISTURBING. I shared this with them immediately after I found out and they couldn't have given less of a s*** . Counting down until I leave
Possibly the most incompetent management I have ever experienced. Simple problems that can typically be amended easily seem to baffle and confuse those in charge and I have been continually disappointed and screwed over by those in charge. Don't live here unless you have no other choice.
I would stay here again and I can't say that for the majority of the apartments I have stayed in. I did have issues with maintenance and they were probably some of the worst maintenance staff I have dealt with (at least one of them that I routinely dealt with anyways) but I wouldn't let this deter you. The units are great as long as nothing is broken, the amenities are amazing, and the office staff are some of the coolest/sweetest/most helpful and understanding people you will ever meet or deal with. In all honesty, I wish I could still live here.
Property is fairly quiet; not a lot of loud neighbors (although they are def partying most of the time). Property is well kept and the owners appear to care about the site.
