This was a great stop. We got a personal tour of the memorial from a park service employee. The battles this commemorates are the difference between WI, IL, MI, IN, and OH speaking English instead of French.

The only Federal Monument in the Mid West. Great 4th of July fireworks show. Museum on location, as well as Old Cathedral Church, and the Memorial Bridge. Just off the Wabash river. Good place to skip stones. Good place to fly rc planes and helicopters plenty of open air space in town. Good place to ride a bike or skateboard.

An often overlooked National Historic Park, with an impressive monument on the Wabash River. Small in acreage, but important in frontier history, it's free to visit and walk the grounds. Great for kids and adults alike.

This substantial riverside memorial is well worth the visit. Clark's extraordinary exploits during the revolutionary war are well explained at the visitor center.

Beautiful, well-maintained, little unit of the National Park Service that's situated nicely along the Wabash River and the Illinois border in Vincennes, Indiana. Homage to the conflicts with the French, British, and American Indians in order to build what has become these United States. Namesake was the brother to the western expeditionary Clark, was the founder of Louisville, and lent his name to Clarksville while being a guerrilla and wildcat that led his own private army in the effort to enforce peace and safety on settlers' lives and efforts in Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, and beyond. Vincennes is a neat old town about an hour or so North of Evansville where Long Knife Clark established a base of operations along the Wabash after evicting the French. Lovely little spot. Quiet park. Passionate staff with a robust schedule of activities focused mostly on kids. A must-see if you're anywhere near the area, and plenty of main roads pass nearby.

Came by on a Sunday morning. Wanted to see the inside of the wedding cake bldg, oh well. Love the lawn. Can you picnic there?

A beautiful landmark site. I had no idea of the history here and how much of America was shaped from this spot. Worth taking a detour on your route to wherever to get a quick lesson!
