Absolutely wonderful. Would drive from home for one of their meals (365 miles one way)
and the great company they and their patrons provide.
Nice place, good food right on snowmobile trail
Good food. Interesting decor. Great views.
We have been going as a family (my parents and my husband) for years the service, location, and food are always amazing. The steak is unbeatable, the menu has lots of options and they have a full bar. It is worth the drive, I encourage you to go and enjoy the experience!
Went here for dinner after proposing to my fiance at the pictured rocks. A lady recommended this place to us and said it was where her and her husband would go to eat for a nice dinner. My fiance and I both ordered a steak and it honestly was the most flavored steak I've ever had. It melted in my mouth. The food was perfect I highly recommend this to anyone out this way!!!!
Great steak! Great food! Overall awesome restaurant with a great atmosphere! A must try if your in the Upper Peninsula.
A highly recommended restaurant if you are in the area. A bit of a drive in the woods, but worth it!! We really enjoyed the food it was all fresh and delicious!!!! All at a reasonable price too..
Long wait for our food, but worth it big time!
If you want better service stay out of the woods !!!
This place & all the folks around here were AWSOME !!!
I felt I'd known these people much longer
Wish I could move in ,,no,B,S,
Camel Riders is a hidden gem in the Hiawatha National Forest. Driving to this place almost feels like an episode of the Twilight Zone, meandering through the empty, quite forest and then suddenly, you find a piece of food heaven.
A camping trip for me is not complete until I pay a visit to Camel Riders, it's my annual pilgrimage. A must!
Be aware that Camel Riders requires a reservation.
My second time there for dinner and the food was as good this time as I had remembered. Be sure to make reservations since the place is small and has a good reputation for great food! We had dinner in february and the place was packed.
Simply put, some of the best food in the upper peninsula. If you love steak you are in for a treat. But it's not just the amazing food, the atmosphere and the view are what really make it an all around great experience. So get out google maps and make your way to this scenic gem.
Edit/Update - I haven't been there for a couple months, it seems that they have a new or seasonal chef at camel riders. DO NOT GO THERE, unless like the chef you have an unnatural fixation with orange and love orange steak. Then by all means. Also if you like french onion soup with croutons and cheese floating inside of it, you are in luck.A $30 meal I wouldn't feel comfortable feeding to a dog. AVOID THIS SHITHOLE.
