Great staff and easy communication
We have dealt with several college apartment management company and the group managing Calder Commons is head and shoulders above the rest. They are HONEST and responsive and I really couldn't ask for more. This is the first time I've ever gotten a full security deposit back BEFORE I asked.
The apartment itself was dated but well maintained and it felt safe and secure and my daughter never had any complaints, which is high praise coming from a high maintenance girl :-)
Of the realtor companies along state college, McKinney is far superior. Great staff and maintenance is professional when compared to the other options.
Calder Commons is the most inefficiently and unprofessionally run establishment on East College. The accommodations are manageable, however the management is unbearable. Amy and Bethany in the downstairs office are completely clueless as to any procedures or deadlines and are often rude when approached. Not only are they disorganized they also fail to admit their mistakes. Maintenance is fair and can be helpful on small jobs although the request for their help often takes several hours or days to process. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere for living options. This apartment complex is intent on making the lives of students who pay to live there difficult.
Im sure if you call a lady named Bethany will answer the phone. She is extremely rude and how a rental agency allows someone with such poor social skills to deal with clients still amazes me. What does it say about their business overall?
Hated this place. I agree with the comments below, management is a bunch of crooks. Avoid them at all costs, they are RUDE and treat the students like garbage. Don't expect to get any of your security deposit back. We kept the place looking pristine and they charged us for some of the most ridiculous things ive ever heard of.
