This is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. We have tried most of the entrees and there are several we really enjoy. I am not a strict vegan, so I am ranking this restaurant against vegan and non-vegan places. It's a very laid back atmosphere with good service and great vegan dessert options. I have recommended this establishment to people who have also enjoyed it.
Both locations for the Cafe Sunflower are excellent. The Cafe Sunflower Sandy Springs is more casual and no alcohol. Some differences in the menus, but we really liked both. The bento box appetizer was great. - we shared four ways. All of us liked everything we had.
Service was friendly, efficient and helpful.
Finding this location with Google Maps was more difficult than it should have been. We did a lot of wandering around. The parking lot was CROWDED. Just take the first spot you find.
Highly recommended! I also bought the cookbook.
Lovely spot with some menu items that are a little more refined for a vegan vegetarian restaurant, but their appetizers need work especially for the price. Spring rolls and basil rolls together cost $13 but I've had much better tasting more flavorful examples for half the price at regular restaurants. Their desserts were great, a bit sweet in regards to the carrot cake, but the chocolate mousse cake was rich and decadent. We enjoy our visit, their interior and service but for their price point I expected basics to be as good as or better to what others do who have the same thing on their menu.
I absolutely LOVE this place!!! Everything on the menu is amazing! You can't go wrong with anything you choose to grub on. Vegans and non vegans will love this menu! This is the place you bring that one person who thinks vegan food will taste nasty. They will leave this place with a completely different opinion.
I just moved here from California so in comparison, the food was really good but the portion sizes too small and the price tag too big! Probably wouldn't go again because of that. 😞
Cafe Sunflower is one of the best restaurants that I have ever been to. I always order the black bean burgers and am extremely pleased. I love there chocolate ganache cake and basil rolls. The food and service is wonderful. I would recommend this place to everyone and anyone!
What an amazing experience! It was my first time there. We had two in our party and were seated right away in perfect booth that overlooked the patio. We were actually able to watch them pick the fresh basil that they used in my (amazing) basil rolls. I also ordered the dumplings and the pasta with mushrooms (three kinds, spinach, and an incredible sauce). I would highly suggest this restaurant to anyone .
First time here and had lunch with my wife. We both really enjoyed this restaurant. Very clean, atmosphere is excellent, service was enjoyable friendly and experienced. The food is excellent with a unique menu that is great for a change. We'll be back many times. Thanks.
Coming from a loyal meat eater, the food was delicious. I didn't think I would enjoy it near as much as I did. The wait staff was helpful and attentive. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who asks.
Service was terrible at the cashier station. I said Thank You and the cashier immediately rolled her eyes and started a conversation with a coworker. Other than that, food is absolutely wonderful! I enjoyed some delicious soy chicken with ginger sauce.
My friend and i went there for a quick lunch. We gir sitted right away but it took forever for the food to come once we ordered, even though the restaurant didn't seem busy. The waiter was super great and apologized. I gave it a 4 star because of the wait time. But the food was delicious and totally worth the wait.
I am not a vegetarian. My friend is vegan so that is why I lunch here. The service was top notch, and that is the reason for the 4th star. Only 3 stars because the dish really lacked a development of flavor.
It's so nice to have a vegetarian option you won't feel bad taking someone to (whether or not they're vegetarian). I went with a party of six, and everyone's dishes were delicious except mine! I got the squash curry, and though it was perfectly tasty, it lacked much in terms of spice and flavor. More of a pumpkin stew. Our service was also a bit indifferent and many was a time our waters and my drink (a very refreshing house-made, bottomless, fruity herbal tea) stood empty until refills were flagged down and asked for directly. In any case, those are mere quibbles in the grand scheme of things, and whether you're frantically hunting a vegetarian option for your out of town guests or just looking for a new place to try out, Cafe Sunflower is well worth a visit!
Ate here for the first time this past week and absolutely LOVED it! Chill environment, delicious food, and friendly employees. The serving sizes were perfect. The menu has an amazing spread/variety of food options. Lovely little joint for lunch or dinner!
