Best tasting menu in the Bellevue area, consisting of roughly 8 courses. The pasta dishes particularly were among the best I've ever had. The Gnochi had a very vivid bold cheese sauce and the Tajarin (angel hair) had a very rich buttery taste. The first several dishes were intricate and amazing, but they finished pretty weak with uninspired desserts. Based on their dishes it's pretty obvious they can do much better than Panna Cotta and cookies. They have a vegetarian tasting menu as well, which I'd love to back and try sometime.
Wedding Anniversary Dinner!
Chef’s tasting Menu with Wine Pairing
The experience was heavenly. Staff was amazing.
The wine pairings really brought out flavors of the different courses.
We can’t wait to return!
I doubt there's a better meal to be had on the Eastside. My only critique would be that they should not make you stand in a tiny cold foyer when you arrive. Deliciously creative and beautifully presented food. Even the fussiest culinary critic is bound to be pleased.
My husband and I came here for our 10th wedding anniversary. We had a great time and the food was delicious. We ordered sparkling wine, an appetizer, soup, salad, pasta, an entree, and dessert with coffee. Five courses and it felt like a feast! Very fitting to a celebration of ten years. Hope to return again someday.
This Restaurant May Be For You If:
You prefer restaurants that put being pretentious over the quality of food.
You enjoy menus that make it nearly impossible to tell what you are ordering.
You like to remind your waitress after 30 minutes that you have still not received your bread.
You want your food to taste like they dumped half a salt shaker into it.
Seriously. The service was not great, but the bigger issue is that the food was horrible. 3/4 people in our dinner party had difficulty eating their entrees due to the amount of salt - and I usually love salty things! We paid A TON of money for horrible food that we were disappointed with.
Every single dish was absolutely delicious. Superb attentive service. Very nice ambience & dining settings. The grilled octopus was one of the most delicious thing I put in my mouth.
This is a great little restaurant in Kirkland. Reservations are definitely recommended. Everything I’ve had on the menu has been fantastic. I’ve wanted to try their chef tasting menus but the whole table has never been committed. Allows for outside wine with a reasonable corkage.
I travel all over the world and this is the best restaurant I have ever been to. The flavors and pairings are inspired and amazing. I no longer live in Kirkland, but insist on coming here every time I am in town. No better anywhere.
The entire staff is very knowledgeable. Chef holly makes bold choices. If you want pasta with tomato sauce this isn't the place for you. Great wine list. All bread, pasta and desserts made in house.
I liked this place quite a bit. The Northern Italian influence is very clear from the wine menu and flavor combinations. Their Octopus with Bone Marrow drizzle Antipasti was great!
Do note that their bar is limited and could not make much beyond the basics.
Loved this place! My friend and I didn't have reservations but they were kind enough to seat us in 5 minutes! The food was pretty expensive but well worth the cost. I would definitely recommend this for a special occasion!
Such an amazing and elegant place. The food is magic and the wait times aren't too long! Everyone is really knowledgeable here and the staff is great!
Amazing food and a unique atmosphere. Service was top-notch. Highly recommended!
