I purchased my daughter-in-law a coach cross body bag, November 19, 2016, for Christmas and the strap is broken. She doesn't have a receipt. I paid cash so there is no way for me to track down a statement. I called the outlet store where we purchased it, Gettysburg, Pa, and spoke with Samantha. She said that she sees my purchase in the system and that we have 1 year from the date of purchase to exchange it. She also mentioned that they don't have that particular color in stock and she doesn't know when they'll receive another bag in black. She checked the other outlets and Clarksdale has the bag in stock, however, they cannot ship it to Gettysburg. Samantha also mentioned that we cannot exchange the bag at a coach retail store. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed with our limited options for exchanging a BROKEN bag that I purchased not even three months ago. Our other options are to get a store credit, however, my daughter-in-law loves the bag and doesn't want a store credit, she wants the bag. Samantha also mentioned that they can send the bag out for repairs but it would take 5 weeks to get it back, and it would need to get shipped out by the outlet where purchased. She also said that Coach retail stores do not carry the same merchandise that the outlets carry. This experience has left me questioning to ever purchase from a Coach outlet store again. For now, I'm on a list at Coach's Gettysburg Outlet, to contact, if a bag comes in.
The style is extremely dated. The quality is OK. The service at this location is so painfully slow. It's like out of a bad movie from the eighties, where we are supposed to feel privileged to be in their presence. This is a last resort.
Not even sure if this was a real Coach store at first. The place is tiny, having maybe a quarter of what a regular store would have. Then a lady bombarded me to buy overpriced leather cleaner.
