The staff was always professional and well mannered. I never felt distain or annoyance from the staff. The rooms were the cleanest rooms I have ever seen in any hotel. The kitchen staff and food was great. Always changing the menu to keep you intrigued. Loved my stay!!

The best Christian camp I've been to. The area is beautiful, the camp is wonderful and the staff is fantastic. There are so many activities! You can simply relax or find something you like to do. As a parent of 5, it's hard to feel like a "vacation" isn't actually work but at Camp-of-the-woods I find refreshment!

CAMP-of-the-WOODS has been a true blessing to my life. When graduating college with a double major in business administration and Bible, I knew God was calling me to camping ministries but from the business perspective. While in college, I had self-taught myself how to use a camera and how to make videos. What was once a hobby is now a profession, all in the midst of being surrounded by constant Christian community and the Adirondack Mountains. As an employee there is no greater feeling than knowing people are being impacted by your work on a spiritual level.

From the guest’s perspective, this is a perfect family vacation where kids can feel free, parents can relax, and where life-long memories can be made… Whether that’s hanging out on the beach with friends you just made while the sun is setting, hearing the Word of God spoken into your life through the amazing speakers, hiking to the top of a mountain and seeing for miles on end- CAMP-of-the-WOODS has it all. Looking forward to one day being a guest myself!

    PLEASE READ!!
Do not apply to work here!! They say they are a Christian resort, but the only thing they care about is money, and how much they can get. Because of this, they work their staff as hard as physically possible, plus more. I've known a few staff that have actually passed out because of exhaustion. The camp still worked them even after that. The pay is horrible, they definitely don't give you enough for all the insane hours you work. They also expect you to stay as long as possible, and no exceptions in leaving early, even for legit reasons. I had a very important procedure I needed done, on top of this I had to be home to prepare for school. I abided to their rule, But I had to cancel the appointment because they wouldn't let me leave.the day I had planned to leave, they completely ignored the time I had to go, and scheduled me for extra hours. They also have weekly room checks, but you are automatically failed if something as little as a washcloth on the floor is left behind. The punishment is, guess what? Even more hours added to the ones you already have!! I also had two different times I needed facilities, but they did nothing whatsoever. Another disgusting fact about this camp is that they waste so much food. We legit, throw away loads of food that easily could go to homeless shelters or staff, but instead it's thrown away! So again, please do not apply to this camp, I don't want any one to have to go through all that I did. This place is a horrible place to work for, do not make the same mistake I did.

I have been going to Camp of the Woods for the last 20 years and have loved it every summer. Some of my fondest memories were made here. It is a family camp that has great activities and recreation and a beautiful facility. Plan a week and bring your kids and enjoy the amazing food and Pleasant Lake ;) and you will want to come back every year. They always have amazing concerts and speakers and events and games. Go on canoe trips, hikes, horseback rides, zip lines, obstacle courses, jet skis, or any other lake activity you can imagine. If you are looking for a relaxing time just enjoy a good book while sitting on the lake, play minigolf, ping pong, arcade games, volleyball, tennis, shuffleboard, listen to the sermons every morning, make conversation with people, play bingo, get ice cream at the Tee Pee. Camp of the Woods has something for everyone.

I primarily go in the summer but I have also gone in the winter where the activities shift to tubing, ice skating, fireside chats, cross-country skiing, indoor sports, hiking, and snowshoeing. I have seen camp change a lot over the years, but the welcoming environment has not changed. It will forever hold a special place in my heart and I cannot wait to bring my own kids some day so they can form some of the same precious memories that I did as a child.
