FIVE visits (so far) for the SAME error message in two months. On the 3rd trip they replaced a part and charged me for it. The new part didn't stop the error message - but offered no refund on the unneeded part. Shuttle is overbooked and there are few loaners. Took an Uber several times to/from. Poor service for a car under warranty bought from this dealer at this location. Get used to missing work and spending plenty of time in the waiting room. The coffee is good and free. Wireless is free in the waiting room.

Purchased from Lauren @ Byers over the weekend. Great overall experience- very quick response to emails, very knowledgeable, flexible with scheduling test drives & being available for appts at the last minute. Very low-pressure, low-stress for an important decision. Everyone else at the dealership seemed helpful & enthusiastic too. Would definitely recommend.

I have purchased or leased a significant number of vehicles over the past five and a half decades. I have dealt with a plethora of dealerships, many of which are no longer in business. The Byers name has been synonymous with the automotive sales business in Columbus since 1929 – at least that is when George Byers and Sons was established – which demonstrates their success and speaks to their credibility. I am sorry that I waited 55 years to purchase my first vehicle from them, but I am now trying to make it up by the purchase of my second vehicle a couple of days ago.

The sales person I worked with on both purchases was Sean McKinney. Sean is a stellar person and makes you feel comfortable the minute you meet him. He is extremely courteous, but even more, he is quite patient. He possesses an excellent level of knowledge regarding the Volkswagen brand and all of the models. I found him to be very candid and honest when answering my questions, and I found working with him on both purchases extremely pleasant.

Most likely I will not be purchasing another vehicle anytime soon, but when I am again in the market for another vehicle, Byers will be my dealership of choice and Sean, without question, will be my salesperson.

Byers Volkswagen is the the only place you should buy a VW in Columbus, OH. I have purchased two Jetta's there and have experienced exceptional customer service each and every time. If you are looking for a honest trust worthy salesperson who will do all he can to get you the best deal in the city I would highly recommend Sean Mckinney. Being a former car salesman I can attest that there is a something to say about someone who is upfront,honest , and has your best interests at heart from the beginning. I can assure you Sean will make sure you are completely satisfied and happy with the price. After a horrible experience from another VW dealership Byers took care of me and put me in a brand new car in less than 1 hr. If I could have given 10 stars I would. Please consider Byers Volkswagen for you next new or pre-owned car.

After a little over a month of searching for a car, I found myself at Byers looking for a golf, where I was helped by Jim Hedges. Jim is extremely helpful, honest, and absolutely patient. He is a fantastic person to work with and I had no questions he couldn’t answer. I knew my vehicle wasn’t worth anything and didn’t expect any trade in value for it but he still took a look at it and scrounged up some numbers. I would consider myself as a very difficult customer when I came in, with a very specific price / monthly payment in mind, and Jim helped me get a good price with great financing. Because of a few difficulties on my own end, I spent an entire weekend with Jim and every day I saw him he had this sincere joy in helping a 21 year old get his first car.

Unlike my husband, purchasing a car is not my idea of a good time. Quite the contrary, I find it stressful and unnecessarily tedious. Those conclusions were drawn prior to my most recent experience at Byers Imports with the very affable and knowledgeable JIM HEDGES. Simply put, Jim is an incredible sales associate. He was tremendously knowledgeable about the car and quite deft at reading the customer – namely me. I arrived knowing what I wanted, and he respected that fact as well as my time. He quickly organized my test drive, and I was off in my lovely little white Volkswagen Beetle convertible: Her name is Ginger.

The back-and-forth negotiation was concluded quite quickly, and Jim was a pro from start to finish – patient, passionate about his craft, and personable. To be honest, I owned a 2002 Passat and swore that I would never own another Volkswagen: It was the worst car I have ever owned. That said, Jim inspired my confidence in the brand and the company’s dedication to standing behind its product. Certainly, this quelled my trepidation, and, now Ginger and I are getting along just fabulously. Simply put, Jim and his colleagues at Byers provided an outstanding experience – one that has resulted in a new and loyal customer.
