5 stars because this is the best place I’ve been to in Frisco. A solid down home, Colorado style breakfast with an attitude. We waited until the very last day of our vacation to come here and it was well worth the wait. The early bird definitely gets the worm here so come early and skip the long line!
Amazing breakfast and service! Love this place so much. The decor is full of warmth and character!
I am only giving four stars because one of the servers (not ours) was completely rude. Upon leaving, we wanted to exchange our togo danish for a croissant.. She behaved as if this was not acceptable and we just walked in from the street with an old danish. We literally just got our bag of to go and decided on something else. She grabbed the bag from me and slammed it into the garbage then yelled that you can't exchange it. (it was in it's own individual bag.. ) So I offered to pay for the new one and she refused. I have no idea what was the problem with her. I didn't get her name. Our food and our table waitress however was lovely. I can totally recommend the Lox and Bagel or their Butterhorn specail. The town of course, is enchanting. Don't miss this place for breakfast, but be sure you never make the grave error of changing your mind about a baked good!!
I enjoyed Frisco’s famous breakfast restaurant, in Colorado in 2017 October. Use the Yelp app for a free chocolate chip cookie! Take some pictures of food and leave some comment on the app then you will receive a coupon! Also I wanted to order the popular item: eggy bread. However, you need to pay $5 more for the fruit topping. Surprise :))). I had the bagel and lox. It was good but the bagel seemed quite thick.
Wonderful environment and food. Wife got the turkey Reuben and I got the baked buffalo burger and the tomato bisque soup. Everything was top notch, including the service. Cute/small outdoor area. Highly recommend if you are in Frisco area!
I'm a sucker for eggs Benedict and croissants so obviously I loved the eggs Butterhorn. They seated me in front of the entrance which normally I wouldn't care but it was a cool morning and both doors were open so I felt a cold draft the entire time. All of their baked goods looked tempting but we only tried the fruit tart and it was delicious.
We went with the Cafe base on reviews. We were not disappointed. With 7 in our crowd, we tried a variety of lunch and breakfast items and were very impressed. The food is fresh, plentiful and really just filled with nice touches that are not common with other joints. Great service.
This place is always busy during the summer and winter seasons. They are well staffed, so you do not have to wait long, and they are very friendly. I had the filly cheese stake and black bean soup, they had it on my table within 10 minutes. I really enjoyed it. I do want to point out, since this place is so popular, they have 45 minute time limit for you to be eating your meal. Not a big deal for me, but if you are looking for a place to sit down and take your time, they might ask you to leave if they have people waiting.
Today a few of my friends went out to breakfast to celebrate an occasion and we had the best experience! Santiago was our server and he had the best attitude as well as best punctuality for taking our order checking on us. He also was very relax and made the whole atomsphere feel warm and welcoming! Not to mention the food was excellent! Thank you for a great morning!
Warm welcomes
I'm in Frisco about once a year for work and I always love coming back here. Environment is always warm and welcoming, the food and coffee is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. I'll be back next year hopefully. And they have cool mugs!
This hands down is one of my favorite breakfast places in Frisco. It's a great bakery and I will of snagging cinnamon rolls for breakfast in the morning. Seriously there's cinnamon rolls are out of this world and perfect for grabbing and taking home. During peak time it can take a little while to get a table for breakfast but it's totally worth it as their menu items are delicious! Personally I really love their egg and bacon sandwich. Their staff is always great and it definitely has that Hometown feel.
We love coming to the Butterhorn every time we come to Frisco! It's always very busy but we've never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes. Our server today was Erica and she was great: super friendly, fast service, and great with our kids. We'll definitely be back!
Great local spot. Solid breakfast, great portions. Egg dishes and sweet options both tasty. Take-out options (pastries, cookies, brownies, bread pudding, tiramisu!) looked tasty and well-priced. Love that to-go food is priced cheaper than table service.
