This place has great food, short menu, and has absolutely wonderful service. On top of that, the bill is reasonably priced, especially for two college students.

The potato skins were HUMONGOUS, The brisket was good, the ribs were not. Iv only been here once but the slab of ribs we got was extremely tough and dried out doubt I would ever try them again. Stick to brisket or pulled pork and you will have a great meal. The chicken says “smoked” but to me i couldn’t tell it was about as bland as chicken from the oven with no seasoning. Overall good food but they hit the mark on staples of a BBQ place

Good service and bbq sauce. Enjoyed the bar setting. Mac n cheese and fries were good sides. Didn't try the cheesy potatoes but they looked good too. Decent selection of craft beers.

I actually had a really great meal tonight at butt Shack! My wife and I have been visiting but shock for approximately 6 years or so from their humble beginnings to where they are now! Always have great food very good service and we had a great dinner tonight with some special friends!

Arrived for my first visit. Had no idea, do I grab a table and sit down or wait? No one greeted me so I stood there feeling dumb. Finally spoke up and asked do I just take a seat? Young lady looked at me and said she'll be right with you and walked away. I continued to wait while someone came back in from outside and she led me to a seat. My server was prompt, brought me a menu and said did I know what I wanted? Now the menu was still in her hand. I said I'd like a tea and off she went to get it and brought it back I swear in less than a minute. I said I still need some time and off she went. I then regretted those words. Twenty minutes later still no server. She finally breezed past me and took the order of a couple who were seated after I got the menu. She then took my order on her way past. Then thirty minutes later no food, so I asked for the manager. I asked what was taking so long so she said she would check. Ten more minutes later my food arrives, but the mac and cheese was stone cold! They remade it, but the manager never came back to check on me or offer me a discount for the inconvenience. NOT a good first impression! Lousy customer service by the management. Had a word with her o the way out but she could not care less. And she needs to lose that nose ring! Your not supposed to wear them in the food industry. Gross!

Nice combo of the feeling of a restaurant and the feeling of a sports pub. The music can be loud, but they are amenable to adjusting it for get togethers and conversations. The brisket has varied in cut and appearance in my visits, but won't disappoint. Pulled chicken has great flavor on its own before their many sauce options Not true for many pork BBQ specialists!

Had the traditional wings today with spicy bbq. We so like our wings with more sauce (wet) and they had no problems giving us extra sauce. If we had ordered them wet would have been correct. They were perfect. Moist an plenty of meat on them. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit today.

I loved the intensity of the sauce, great flavor. The rub was fine. What I didn't like was if I wanted to have any sides I have to purchase them at $3.50 each. Not cool. I've never been to a BBQ place that didn't give a sampler option with a couple sides. Believe me we've been to many many BBQ places! This sends an obvious message that you're intentions are to get every dime you can out of me the customer. Not likely to visit again. ShameYour flavors are unique I did appreciate the breakdown on prices for the meat to sample them And those prices were reasonable! Disappointed that you don't have a meal for two option including sides.

We had a large party reservation for this past Saturday evening with our group Cincinnati Jeep Outscasts. Our group was roughly 25-30 people and the Butt Shack staff did a fantastic job taking care of us. The food was spot-on as always and the servers were very attentive the whole evening. A wonderful experience for sure.

3 hours for food and the server visited twice to refill drinks. Once it came, it was cold and things were missing that were ordered. When we talked to manager about the situation her excuse was "it's busy and we're new."
When the check came we discovered we got a 20% discount to make up for their blunders but it listed our 20% off as "unhappy customer." We didn't ask for a discount, we asked for the food we were missing which we never got.
Very low brow.
Edited: This was 1 ticket from our party. We were a party of 9 split 3 ways.
It definitely said "unhappy customer" it actually says it 5 times in case we forgot.response / report this review -

Great BBQ! Brisket was perfect. All sauces were consistent and flavorful and did not overpower the meats. I was pleasantly surprised by their smoked sausage as well.
I WILL BE BACK!!!

Worst BBQ we have ever had! These people giving good reviews have to be high. The brisket was tough and chewy, my sons pulled chicken was disgusting. Mac n cheese was bland. Fries were the best thing on the table. The service was terrible. Friendly faces but not good servers. This place needs help. Dont waste your money.

I visited The Butt Shack on 03/22/17 with several family members. The service was slow. I had to remind the waitress to bring a soda before she finally did. The pulled chicken was moist, but I found several bones. The pulled pork was good. The baked beans and coleslaw were very good. However, the tips were overcooked, dry and tough. I could not cut them with a knife. I told the waitress that the tips were tough and dry. She stated "That happens with the tips sometimes". She NEVER offered to replace the tips or remove them from the bill. We did not eat the tips. The potato skins were overcooked and dry. My wife dug out the center and we did not eat them either. The waitress would not remove them from the bill either. I won't be back.
