Set service appointment thru their website and got confirmation email. Arrived and they didn't have appointment in system and the advisor had not worked there for a while. Asked in online appointment that I get estimate for some parking lot damage while in for service. Arrived to learn that they had no one on site to do it but I could drive to their body shop 5 mi away and get estimate. Advisor said she would give me address later but didn't.
Advisor told me I needed PCV valve replacement and throttle body cleaning per Toyota required maintenance every 30K miles and I hadn't done it by 50K miles. I approved the $150 cost and just checked the Toyota maintenance schedule and neither are required. Asked advisor approx how many miles I had left on tire wear and she told me "2 more years." I pointed out wear is a function of miles more than time and she said Its not possible to know but I could go ask someone else if I'd like.
Drove to body shop to get estimate and receptionist said nobody was there to give estimates (while manager sitting in office looking at his cell phone) but could schedule appointment for tomorrow. Walked out to my car and guy with Butler shirt appeared to be taking pics and putting together estimate for car parked next to mine.
At least they didn't drop my car off the lift while changing the oil like last year's visit. That I got lucky and discovered before pulling out of their garage when I tried to open passenger door and it was jammed shut. Would have been nice if they proactively told me about it. They repaired it well and gave me a free loaner (smelled of smoke) at least. Decided everybody makes mistakes and not to publicize experience until today's events.
Won't be returning.
It seems unusually hard to get an appointment there. It is one of only a few Toyota service centers in Indianapolis but it seems like we always have to book far in advance. On the other hand, with my Mercury at the Ford place I can almost always get in with one day notice or less.
My entire experience with them was beyond excellent. I highly recommend them.
These people are HORRIFIC!!!!! My son's father is a former employee, and someone of their employ CALLED HIM AND TOLD HIM THE DETAILS OF MY INTERACTION!!!! Can you believe that?? Right, cool, thanks for giving someone with NO AUTHORIZATION and NO DANG RIGHT information about my finances and assessment of my personality. Fantastic. HATE THEM! :-/
I have been entertaining the thought a of new SUV for sometime now and have always steered away from Toyota because of their size etc.
After speaking with Drew McCulloch I can confidently say when we are ready to purchase Drew will be the one our family trust to find us the right fit for our needs and lifestyle. Drew spent a good amount of time listening and understanding our wants and needs in a SUV and one of his first questions to me was about safety and the safety of my family.
To me that absolutely sets a bar. His first question was not about how much money do I want to spend,it felt as if for him it wasn't about the money it was about my family's safety. I could go on and on about how great of an asset I feel Drew is to Butler and to my family. Drew's professionalism and knowledge certainly brings a level of comfort to us.
As far as follow up and customer service,, Impeccable!
