We have stayed in the lodge 4x and just love it. It's beautiful to walk around and we love being down by the dock. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating. We normally extend our stay a day or two as everyone has such a good time.
Beautiful setting near Wayne National Forest. Great park, with fun activities (swimming, hiking, etc.), and nice facilities in the lodge (lodge rooms, swimming pool, restaurant, etc.) and cabins. Great family get away spot.
Recently stayed at the campgroundoverall a very good experience. The grounds were very clean and well maintained. The restrooms were clean, although the stalls are small. There is a small store on site for a few supplies, but you are a good 15 minute drive to the nearest gas station. The only negative is that several of the tent campsites are on a pretty moderate slope. But overall a nice quiet clean campground.
Clean, quiet and secluded park. The camping situation is a bit odd, you have to drive around the lake quite a ways to get to the the campsites if you are at the lodge. I ended up camping in the nearby National Forest instead.
The new disc golf course was still under construction when I was there in 2015 but it was a good course even unfinished.
Wonderful hiking with grottos and rock features. Good birding with pileated woodpeckers, towhees, and hummingbirds. Beautiful, undeveloped lake front on a no wake lake. Pontoon boats are rentable at Dock 1.
