Save your money and order parts online. The prices are much higher unless you need them ASAP.
The people are knowledgeable, they stock a lot, and have a quick turnaround if they have to order something. A little pricey, but I like shopping local and getting information
I have purchased from Brown's for twenty plus years, always get the right part and right advice on repairing all my appliances.
A model for Custoner Service, and so informative. We don't get treated like idiots for asking questions at Brown's. We named our first son after this place: Charlie Brown Metzler =)
Told me a washing machine part was on the way from TN. 3 days later acted stupid and said the part was on back order. Even though they said it was shipped the day before. Avoid doing business with this company, they are liars.
It took some effort on my part to get the right numbers off of the appliance but after that Brown's ppl listened as I described the issue over the phone. I visited and they showed me the parts that would fix my sliding drawer issue. I paid $14.85 for three parts ran home and installed them.
Drawer slides good now under the stove. No falling one way or the other.
I fixed it. Brown made this possible.
Thanks
I have been here many times patching together a 1984 Kenmore washer and dryer. They have always had the parts I needed, which by the time you wait for someone to ship it without paying for overnight shipping will be close in price. As long as your not buying electric parts the return policy is pretty simple, but as with any store, auto parts are the same way, electric items are pretty much impossible to return so make sure you need the part you buy. I have bought heating elements for both a dryer and a stove, thermal switch for the dryer, pump for the washer and a bunch of other things. They have always had the part in stock except for one really off the wall part for the old dryer but by the time I replaced that it was just better to go buy a new one.
In closing the options in Lexington are limited either Browns or internet.
Browns at least you get a person who knows the machines and they have never steered me wrong, and of course if you need the part quick well then that pretty much means Browns.
Had a knob I needed to replace. Found the part by way of the manufacturer website and my model number. Rather than pay shipping, I called around. Brown's was able to look up the part based on my model number and whether they had it in stock and how much it was. Their store is clean, bright and professional. Need a part? Call them first!
