I can’t say enough good things about Brentwood Builders. We went into the process of building a new house with a fair amount of anxiety. We had heard from friends about their bad experiences with building a new house and anticipated a really stressful experience. Thankfully, working with Brentwood was nothing like working with the typical homebuilder. The staff at Brentwood (particularly Chad, John, and Doug) were great to work with and the quality of work is exceptional. I would highly recommend Brentwood Builders.

I wanted to let you know we're very happy with our new and comfortable addition. Everything from start to finish exceeded our expectations. Our home was built in 1840 (Van Buren was president) and the design you came up with is a fitting compliment to the original structure. The job was completed early and within budget and I can say without a doubt that Doug is one of Brentwood's greatest assets. He kept us informed on a daily basis and stayed on top of all the details. It was a pleasure working with you and Doug and the rest of the Brentwood team.

Brentwood recently built a house for us. They were efficient, kind, and trustworthy. We found the design process collaborative and informative, and loved seeing their expertise shine during the building phase. They are networked with a strong set of quality subcontractors and we have a strong confidence in the workmanship and attention to detail. This year we contracted with BB to build a suite addition to our home, this for my mother who is experiencing health issues in addition to recent losses of her husband and son (my father and brother). Not knowing what to expect about a construction project (and after hearing numerous horror stories about others' construction projects), I cannot be more pleased with the process and ultimate end product. The suite has just been completed and it has exceeded any expectation I had -- which was considerable because it was for my mother. Throughout the project (from brainstorming to final walk-through), I was impressed with the professionalism and genuine courtesy that each team and crew exhibited. I never got the impression that my addition was "just another project." Everyone seemed authentically concerned that every phase be complete and as perfect as humanly possible. Frequently, our project manager (Doug) pointed out slight imperfections that needed correction -- things that neither my wife nor I had noticed -- and that likely we may never have noticed. I certainly appreciate that kind of attention to detail. In the end, though, none of this would have mattered if mom were not as pleased as I was. The first time she saw the suite complete, she turned to her sister and said, "This is too fancy for me!" Of course, nothing is too fancy for my mother as far as I'm concerned, so her response sort of says it all. If you are looking for a company to take care of you and your loved ones, you won't find a better one than Brentwood Builders.

If you are looking for honest, reliable, problem-solvers, then Brentwood Builders are your contractors. We had an unique problem with our house siding and they were the only contractors who came up with an answer. They are fast, competent, and very professional. We have used them over the years in many projects throughout the house and we are always happy with the results. I would highly recommend Brentwood Builders for all your remodeling projects big or small.

I dealt with Brentwood Builders in my work as a City Planner and have always been impressed by their professionalism and I thought to myself that if I had any major project for my house, I would contact them. Three years after I retired, my husband and I decided to renovate our kitchen and Brentwood Builders was the first business that we contacted.

John Harkleroad responded right away and set up an appointment to meet us at our house. John promptly gave us plans and general cost estimates to work with. Eventually, we settled on a small expansion and total renovation of the kitchen. What was impressive is the schedule that they provided, which gave us much confidence that the project will be done on time and the pre-construction meeting was very helpful to determine how internal and external work will be done with minimum disruption. We appreciate John’s helpful advise during the design and contract development phase.

Once the project started, Doug Phillips, the Construction Supervisor scheduled workers to come to complete sequential work and this was seamless. Doug advised us regularly what type of workers would be coming and the job to be completed each day. To keep the project moving along, Doug also prompted us in a timely manner to complete selection of supplies and materials at each stage of the work process and provided helpful advice to us when we asked. We appreciate Doug’s approachable and yet professional manner. He should be commended for his efficient coordination and eye for workmanship.

Brentwood Builders also use sub-contractors who are professional, competent and friendly. We enjoyed listening to them explain what they are doing. They also cleaned the project area after each day’s work.

They say major renovation to a house is a very stressful for homeowners, but Brentwood Builders' personnel minimized the stress level by efficiently moving things along and keeping us apprised of every situation. We would highly recommend Brentwood Builders to our friends who may be contemplating a building project.
